Rotscale Solo/Duo/Trio builds?
Alright so after seeing the new bow, Rotwing's Recurve Bow, and lusting for it i decided to think up some ranger heavy team builds for killing Rotscale.
At the moment, i'm thinking 2 R/Mo, spiking with JI, FW up in the back and RtW, as well as another ranger with Apply instead of RtW. Rotscale now uses Malaise, so you can capitalize on the degen..
I was thinking maybe a Mo bonder in the back with Vital Blessing for support to get this down, but then Rotty has Desecrate Enchants, so that could hurt.. Maybe a spirit Rt/Mo?
Really, i'd like to eventually work towards a two man ranger build to take on Rotscale, but for now this is going to have to suffice..
Any ideas?

All hexes casted on him, ie every degen there is, lasts 1/3 of the time hence they are worth nothing against the rot. I just tried with 2 eles and 2 monks. We killed all the lvl 24 noobs easy but the rot has more health than glint so we couldnt take him.

Poison does work against Rotscale, the best way to beat him would be with some heavy degen and interupts. Maybye like Spinal Shivers and some tanks. He does have way too much health...

Rotscale is a Dragon and his friends are undead. Didn't he used to be undead? But he IS a dragon now. My friend and I were reasonably successful with Grenth's Balance and Judge's Insight Warriors but it was a 6 man group so it's probably worthless. Just in case you care...

what about a air of enchant smiter and a tank i know desecrate enchant will hurt but rof and gaurdian spamming along with air of enchant and possibly ji on tank might out heal the damage

Flatbow or Longbow with judges insight+FW? Maybe barrage to take out the monsters around the rot. Second man a bonder? Note: flatbow or longbow to stay out of casting range of the rot
Also, Hunt was thinking of a 'ranger heavy team build', I think we forgot about that lol

Endure Pain, let your health get low and BAM with Grenths Balance, maybe if you duoed with a monk and the Monk casted Vital Blessing, youd deliver one hell of a Grenths SPike on him.

well rot is not an undead so ji doesent add much damage to him it only adds damage to the undeads around him
i just tried this with a full group 3 nukers and with 3 meteor showers on him he just laughed at us i dont even think he was getting knocked down

Hmm... I've been save a 20% dmg vs. Dragons grip in my inventory for some time now. Maybe I should put it on a bow...
I went with a 3-man team of Warrior/Monk/Necro and we were able to get down to Rotscale and one henchman. However, the old bugger wouldn't go down in hp even a smidge.
Seems a Domination Mesmer and SS Necro could do the most damage to Rotscale. Of course a lot of healing would be on order too.
Maybe a 4-man team:
W/N Stances and using Grenth's Balance
Me/* Domination
N/* SS (for the minion dragons around him)

thats the best cripshot bow ingame and with beautifull skin.. i farm him with
1bonner/with 2 interrupts
1Shield of J. Healer
1 SS necro
2 warriors/frenzy and full dmg skills
we end the run with no DP, and yes its very hard to kill them but once the mob goes down the rotscale takes like 5m to die! GL
this is to much work for ppl to sell the bow for 30k.. desperate ppl ruining the market.. gg for them

I disagree here. The market will always price things fairly. 30k seems like a fine price for the bow. Especially since you can craft the exact same thing in Cantha for 10k + a few materials and a poisoner's string + 30hp grip. (Granted you might not get a 30hp grip very cheaply, but a 29 hp one is not that much.)
I guess what I'm really saying is that if you think it's not worth your time to farm this bow then go farm something else that is worth your time.
Anyway, I don't want to come off as harsh. Thanks for your input on the build to farm him.

This may be a bit OT, but how in hell is this bow ANY good for a cripshot ranger?
First off there are some things I notice,
1. It's a recurve, crap fire rate and less range than a longbow
2. What does +33% Poisoned have ANYTHING to do with Cripshot?
Yes, you use apply poison with Cripshot, but poison is so easy to reapply if it get mended or w/e. A +33% Crippled string is MUCH more effective.

Whats up with people and SS necros? Sure, they're great against groups of melee attackers, but no good versus him. Its a hex, they last like 1/3 the normal duration. Straight damage from mesmers or eles would work much better.

one warrior
