Default Special abilities of pets

OK, I want some1 to doublecheck this info and tell me if it's a bug or something that was intended. Probably it was already discussed, but with so many threads...

The bear has a unique skill called Brutal Mauling. Nothing very new on this.
But I found out (=tested various times) that the Phoenix has a special "ability". When it dies (if it's a companion, not wild), the phoenix gives to the party an amount of energy (like 10-15 to each party member). Can someone plz double-check this for me? It's a bug or a meant-to-be thing?

And another rumour, not tested by myself: do Reef Lurkers (crabs) have the ability to interrupt or not? Some people say that it can intrerrupt like 10% of the times. Anyone has any experience at this?

ti was doing little resarch and this are facts:

Latest rumors say that phoenix (pet) gives you energy when it dies and that Reef Lurkers interupts.

I asked and we even tested with more than 10 people, i tested even myself , that PHOENIX DOES NOT GIVES YOU ENERGY WHEN IT DIES. If it does, then its probably a bug.

I tested in PVP, PVE, diferent levels of pets (level 5 - 20), some i tested myself, some with others with diferent level of pheonix.
I asked plenty of people over districts, of over 20 people only 1 told me that his pheonix maybe gives him energy (he wasnt sure), all others denied and didnt even have knowledge of this. Some even tested this and reported to me in the same minutes. I was asking this all over Cantha and Tyria, mostly on crouded districts and where rangers "hang on". If pheonix would give energy that will defenitly could destroy "ballance" in PVP, because so much free energy would be eventualy taken as adwantage.

About Reef Lurkers, well i didnt find as many people that they had Reef Lurker, they didnt even notice of any "pet interuptions on its own" not had knowledge of this. We didnt put this on test, but im convinced that this "pet ability" will destroy game ballance, because then there could be bounch of builds with sec class pets Reef Lurkers, that would mass interupt for free.

So once again, if you dont belive it, put this on test and report here and pls no fake tests! (multiperson tests pls)

PS: brutal mauling does nothing, its normal attack with "graphical bonus", in fact bear does less dmg over time (DoT) than other pets. Check guild wiki

I even do furter more research, this time with r/n with phoenix and n/r with phoenix , i found 2 r/n and 3 n/r .

They all said that they dont recive energy from phoenix. 2 r/n were level 20 one had level 5 phoenix other level 20, we tested no mass or anykind free energy.

With two n/r i only talked , they said that they dont recive energy when their phoenix dies (level 5 and 17phoenix ). With third necro , we both tested this, and still no energy, he said that he changed his uw spider on rumor, that phoenix gives energy when he dies. He raised him to level 20 and at non level of pet he did not recive free energy.

And the fact is , that you dont get energy from pets if your primary necro, as you would get it from miniors.

I have a related question. If I change pets does the new one start out at a low level? My cat is 20 and I don't really want to start over.

Depends on what level you capture it, some pets are allready level 20, some are on lower levels. The higer you go to the end of the game, the more level (higer) will pet probably have.

First off, I'm going to assume the answer is no, but I'll ask anyway. I am in prophecies only, but tigers are my favorite animal in the world. Is there anyway at all for me to get my hands on a tiger?

Your assumption is correct, unless you take the boat to cantha there's no way of claiming a tiger.

Checked again, phoenix no longer gives energy when it dies. Probably was removed in one of the latest updates.

Well this might be tru but I have some interesting news for you
I tried out if my Elder White Tiger would have these "abilities". I got no use over hes death, but the most interest thing is that when I fought against the Bog Skales (Necros ) in North Kryta Province, all of the Skales in the area of effect got +8 energy over my pets death. I assume it was because of Soul Reaping. But why isn't this working whit prim Necros on game?
