N/Mo Build Help.
I flew through most of the game easily with a simple blood/death build on my character and really didnt use the Monk side much.
But now i'm in the desert and its becoming a bit harder =/
so until i can switch my second profession, what kind of build should i be using?
Blood Spiker is easy to use but i find myself not being able to properly manage the energy effiicently and with MM theres always having to keep them alive and healing myself as a pain.
Any help will be much appriciated.

Minion Master is going to be your best friend as a N/Mo. Since your at the desert, goto lion's arch and hop on over to factions (if you have it). Talk to Michiko (sp) in Keineng (sp. lol) Center and grab Vampiric Horror. This will help with keeping your health up.
If you dont want to run as a MM, you can always run as a BiP if you play with alot of humans. It's less effective but quite entertaining.
Try experimenting with other builds in the blood and curses category. There are plenty of AoE skills that make the blood/curses necro very powerful. Feast of Corruption and Opressive Gaze work very well together. A build straight off the top of my head could be a virulence build. It's very easy to keep conditions on your opponents, and with mend ailment from your monk secondary, you can remove disease from your own players, should it come to it.
Just mess around a little more. There's plenty you can do as a Necromancer, you just need to get creative.

Hmm.. Well Thank you for the information. I'll have to check out MM once again i guess, but what would you suggest for the skill point set up?
Death, Soul reaping and any in A monk profession? I suppose i would need somethign to counter the blood sacrificing to heal my minions.
I'm open for any other suggestions as well.

I use:
16 levels (for you just max out) in death
12 (for you 9) in soul
and what ever is left in healing breeze (although any healling spell will work) then protection; MMs are the best for in battle res using rebirth. This should put you healing breeze around 4 which is good enough.
There is something else you might look into, in the Wajjun Bazzar is a collector that gives cold damage curse wands, you might want that for spinal shivers.

Blood spike is more of a mes build, N/Mo is only good for MM

Honestly, I wouldn't change your 2ndary profession. A hard rez is good enough.
What is a good combo?
Curse/Protection
Soul Barbs (Curse)
Faintheartedness (Curse)
Suffering (Curse)
Parasitic Bond (Curse)
Mend Ailment (Protection)
Reversal Of Fortune (Protection)
Essence Bond (None)
Rebirth (Protection)
Parasitic Bond is you healing, RoF is healing others if needed, Essence Bond is your energy management in the Desert (enchanted bow/hammer/sword all do physical damage). Since nothing really removes hexes, Soul Barbs + health degen will remove lots of monsters in your path.
Hope this helps.

I too am in the exact same situation as Kiri. My N/Mo just reached the desert and I also was wondering what types of builds work well there. Personally I've gotten a little bored runing MM and Blood Spiker through most of the game so I'm thinking of experimenting with Curses. I like Pick Me's build so I'll give that a shot.
As for as Kaida the Heartless's suggestions they don't really apply because like Kiri stated, she recently reached the desert so Virulence and BiP aren't an option because you can't cap those until Southern Shiverpeaks. Granted a person could've gotten a Droks run prior to the desert, but most people follow the general lay of the game. And in my case I don't have Factions so the Vampiric Horror is a no go for me.....however, those are all good suggestions provided I reach the point where I can get those skills.

Thanks a lot for all the suggestions!
I'm going to try out the curses example for now, as i've never played a necro that depended on curses before. Gives me a reason to use that shiny green staff i found recently too !
Thanks again and if anyone else has any suggestions i'm always looking for more input.
