Need tips for new boon prot'er
So ok here the situation, I just started monking seriously last few days, since i became tired of the traditional characters, W/,A/ got boring cuz of playing them since day1, whacking things, timing ur skills, N/,E/,Me/ started feeling the same, came to a Monk and never got bored ,I have monked b4 but never found it fun, but now there is something to do all the time...
Ok, I kno how to manage my energy really well, never had any problems, know the few flaws with people blindly aggro'in things which they shouldnt, running out of range, all the good stuff ... I have touched a lil on boon prot b4 but i was very spread out...and need some help
I used to use Mainly Prot/Divine, touching a decent amount into healing is this the way to go? im looking at alot of builds, and most are very strictly to just to Divine/prot, some inspiration, most not all though....i work with my Divine/prot/healing very well but im looking for the most effiency with 1heal/prot >to target life gain/prot efficiency...
so in conclusion what should i do?
tyvm for reading my post, just looking at builds dont help my logic behind certain things and any help provided here will be used to make me a better boon prot....I appreciate the 5 min out of ur time

First thing as a boon prot is to realise you will be healing ALOT. Around 100 per cast from a simple RoF, with some good side effects to boot.
If you’re concerned about people running off and not doing as you say, just shout at them that you won't heal them until you tell them your ready. Usually works and death usually drives it into them that you are serious.
The reason people put some attributes into healing prayers is so they can use the skill "gift of health” which can heal quite allot with boon active. Around 200.
Personally, at level 20 w/ both attribute quests done, 8 healing (7+1), 14 favour (10+4), and 10 prot (9+1) should provide enough healing power. Throw the rest into 10 inspiration and you’ve got a pretty good energy management.
Lower levels though, I tend to try and find the "Leroy Jenkins" of the group, and also the tanks, and put essence bond onto them. I know, your only gaining energy when they get hit, but with blessed signet and a high (ish) divine favour you’ve got a pretty decent energy management. Meaning that if your guys are getting owned, you will still gain energy to heal with. With Mantra of inscriptions as well, you’re gaining a large amount of energy easily. Although it's not completely boon prot, it is a great energy management low in the game due to rare enchantment removals.

I am aware that my post probably didn't help, but I didn't completely understand the question

Be sure to read MaxieMonster's guide. It has a ton of discussion and thoughts behind an excellent build.

The thing about gift of health that makes it an amazing skill rather than a good skill, is the fact that you really only need 6 or 7 in healing to get a 200 point heal out of it. For only five energy to boot!
