2-manning Bazzr Wingstorm
Though Wingstorm's green is, well, redundant because of the craftable wands in Vasburg and the Leviathan Pits, I figure somebody else out there wants the Wingstorm for the skin and "greenness".
Wingstorm isn't easily 55'able because of the heavy degen, mobs on the way (Gakis w/ Disenchantment, Kirins, Mantis nearby) and is tough to solo with a warrior (deep wounds, degen). But I had to have this green so I decided to monk for a guildie and knowing how pets work with AI popup spawns...
This is a run my guildie and I came up with. It's certainly improvable but we only needed to do a few runs to actually get things worked out. You can also get the nearby necro boss if you don't spawn Wingstorm's mob.
Player One: R/X Beastmaster
IMPORTANT: Like most mantis bosses, Wingstorm sits and putzes around alone. If you come within an aggro bubble's range of him, then he spawns a bunch of chaff that's not trivial to kill because of healing whisper spam. So, don't aggro him, let your pet do it. Pets don't spawn the mob.
12+4 beast mastery
12+1 expertise
Rest you can dump in marksmanship, you're not dealing damage with a bow.
An alternative is to run 16 beast, 11 expertise, and 9 marksmanship if you do want to use your bow. Or whatever. I'm no good with rangers.
Charm Animal
Comfort Animal
Enraged Lunge/Ferocious Strike (e)
Symbiotic Bond
Poisonous Bite
Feral Lunge
Call of Haste/Predatory Bond
Call of Protection
Player Two: Mo/Me Bonder
The monk's job is to bond the pet and the ranger. Because of Symbiotic Bond, the monk's bonds, and Call of Protection damage to the pet is basically limited to degeneration, which Comfort Animal takes care of. The ranger, however, takes lots of direct damage and the bonds help somewhat.
Attributes are fairly flexible. But keep points in inspiration, you'll need them. I ran
12+1 prot
8+4 divine favor
10 inspiration
because of equipment limitations. It worked fine.
Life Barrier*
Life Bond
Balthazar's Spirit
Essence Bond
Blessed Signet
Signet of Devotion
Mantra of Inscriptions
Inspired Hex/Revealed Hex
You can run a standard boon prot build, but bonding a pet is funny.
Start from The Eternal Grove mission outpost. Exit to Drazach Thicket and follow the path past the res shrine. You'll come across a mob of gaki, dragon moss, kirin, and undergrowth. The gaki can be annoying with Disenchantment, but these shouldn't be a problem unless the pet gets bodyblocked. Kirins first, as usual, or the minions + disease + hexes (Defile Flesh) get to be problematic.
The pet kills stuff. Monk uses Mantra of Inscriptions + Sig of Devotion to heal the ranger, who heals the pet. Balth's Spirit + Essence bond ensure plenty of energy for the monk so you don't have to use Blessed Signet at all while in combat.
There's a smaller mob further down the line usually consisting of a dragon moss and a couple kirin, which you should kill should aggro become a problem. But your target should be on your left, Bazzr Wingstorm.
With a long- or flatbow, the ranger pulls Bazzr, sending the pet in. Sometimes Bazzr will hex the ranger; combined with the damage the ranger is taking, the monk should pull off Conjure Nightmare with Inspired Hex (hey, energy!) to avoid getting deep wounded. Now all the monk has to do is spam signet of devotion on the ranger while the pet kills the boss.
WARNING: if the ranger and monk are too far away from Bazzr when he dies, they get no XP or drops. So when Bazzr is nearing about 10% health, run in closer (but do not spawn the mob) and wand Bazzr or something. When the pet deals the finishing blow, run in, grab your loot, and run for your lives back towards The Eternal Grove.
This run takes ten minutes or less to complete. It took me ~6 runs to get the green.
