Last Day Dawns Charr Farming
im sure that im not the first to think of this, but search was down. the point of this is to farm the lvl 24 charr lords in the last day dawns quests. the only reason i even started doing this is because it seemed to me that if the low level charr can drop crappy tyrian sickles and tribal axes, shouldnt the lvl 24s at least have the potential to drop good ones? anyway, here goes:
requirements: Last Day Dawns quest given by Glint after completing Defend Droks Forge
difficulty: medium- this isnt your average "use skills x, y, and z in that order"
drops: craptastic- charr hides, charr carvings, etc. although i have had several gold armor drops (including a superior vigor) and the occasional gold weapon drop.
potential drops: max tyrian sickles? max tribal axes? (havent found either but i do believe this is one of the few places to potentially drop them)
now onto the build. its a straight W/X build adapted from an old hydra farming method i used.
skills:
sever artery
gash
ViM - elite
distracting blow
riposte
watch yourself
heal sig
sprint
attributes:
16 swords
13 tactics
4 strength
weapons:
pretty much anything will work, but i suggest either a barbed or fiery sword of charrslaying (if not that, go def +5 or fort +30 - the slaying mod just seems to speed things up). as far as shileds, i have a +10 vs char, but again, any +30 always will work. i highly suggest bringing a longbow to pull groups as needed.
armor:
duelist helm w/ sup swords
glads chest w/sup vigor
glads gloves w/ minor tact
glads legs w/sup absorption
knights boots w/ minor str
(this is my setup- pretty basic)
what youll face:
charr axe lords, mind lords, stalker lords, flame lords, ashen lords. youll face 2 at a time, and sometimes youll need to use a bow to separate groups. never try to take on more than two charr at a time- its very risky.
the basics:
just pull a group of 2 and lay into the biggest threat (from my experience they rank- priority targets- 1. flame lords, 2. stalker lords, 3. axe lords, 4. ashen lords, and 5. mind lords). sever, gash, ViM for heal, keeping WY up at all times. heal sig before you get too low, and not during a fireball! sprint out if you aggro too many or hit a flame trap at the start of a fight.
flame lords- save distracting for fireball.
ashen lords- distract life siphon (you can get every 2nd one) and be wary of putrid explosion
axe lords- riposte as soon as it charges- theyre the only reason this skill is on the bar but they hit pretty hard any if you happen to have to face 2 of these, riposte is a life saver. try to always protect heal sig with riposte when facing these. also, attack the other charr instead of him first- you can kill 2 birds with one stone by attacking the other while riposting the axe lord.
stalker lords- distract troll ungent.
mind lords- distract ether feast- these guys are pushovers
anyway, thats it. good luck. im always open to ways to make a better build, so suggestions are welcome. oh and if anyone does get a max sickle/tribal, i expect 10% of the profit or the first crack at buying it

It's funny how none of you noticed that someone already mentioned killing these charr in "warrior basics" thread... I think it was called "making a better warrior".
There was a guy that was explaining how to come up with your own warrior builds, and as a testing place he mentioned these lev24 charr.
I'm not saying this to bash the poster(thanx to him for trying) - just surprised none of you saw this before.
