Hello everyone. im trying to make a char that uses Elementalist skills and Ranger skills. basically what im trying to do is use 2 skills from Elementalist to help the ranger kill faster. Mark of Rodgort and Conjure Flame on a fiery bow which would produce constant burning on the victim. could someone suggest a possible good build? need someway to shot arrows faster with bow to continue damage. should i be E/R or R/E help would be appriecated. and im sort of new here and might be posting on wrong place. Sorry if it sounds noob and what not.

Yes, this is the wrong place to post this. You should look at the Elementalist Forum - Build Thread and/or the Ranger Forum Build Thread.

But to save you some time (possible not much), If you want only two skills from Elementalist, then be a R/E.

Expertise: Max
Marksmanship: Max
Wilderness Survival: Rest

Or you can put Wilderness Survival Max and Expertise as Rest (its up to you).

The main point is to use your bow to do as much damage as possible and have burning continuous.

Use Ignite Arrow (Wilderness) + Glyph of Lesser Energy + Mark of Rodgort + Reading The Wind + Favorable Winds.

RtW and FW both increase arrow speed and do extra damage. Ignite Arrow will make your arrows do fire damage. Glyph will lower the cost of MoR. Wilderness Survival will increase fire damage, but Expertise will lower energy costs on preperations, attacks, normal skills (not spells), and traps.

Ignite Arrow has a set time limit of 24 seconds, so points into Wilderness Survival does not determine duration of this preparation.

Read the Wind and Ignite Arrows are both preparations, can can't be stacked. The only real reason to chose ele secondary on a bow ranger is for a conjure to stack with your prep, so your attributes will be spread thin over fire, expertise, marksman, and wilderness, unless you use RtW as your prep.

As far as chosing E/R or R/E, I'd go with ranger. Expertise is one of the best primary attributes in the game, and I don't think an elementalist even can match a ranger's ability to spam skills at 13/15 expertise. Rangers obviously also get marksman runes, where as with an ele you're stuck at 12.
