Sskai's 55 monk Sword Farming?
Anyone tried to farm this boss? It should be possible, but I just cannot figure it out.
This boss drops a green wicked blade - very nice.
He is located in Boreas Seabed Area(not mission)
Getting to him is a piece of cake. Exit "Zos Shivros Channel" go through a wooden gate and then go exactly straight from it, past the few squid guys...
Shortly after, some oni will pop out. Those guys are very evil. They cast an assasin hex that makes you completely defenceless. You cant cast ANYTHING.(any spells that is)
Luckily, if you cast PS in advance, you can just run past the oni, they'll "almost always" leave you alone after you have almost reached Sskai.
Now here's the tricky part.
Problem #1 Sskai's buddies and Sskai interrupt like crazy!
Solution? - Mantra of resolve.
Problem #2 Sskai's Buddies spike with Nightmare Weapon for 50 dmg.
This is not a problem unless you get hit by 5 dmg simultaneouly with a spike.
Chances of that are not very good.(it happens though)
Problem #3 Sskai uses heal sig
Solution? - Ignorance
Problem #4 When using any two of the above skills you run out of energy real fast, and you dont have a free spot for an energy managment skill.
Mabe I'm forgetting some skill that can be used instead of any of the above 2 skills? Can someone help me out?
EDIT: If you stay leftish after you get past the kraken spawn, you dont have to worry about oni. They simply dont appear.

105 hps beats nightmare weapon
Change focus to deal with nightmare weapon. Unless your totally swamped by enemies this shouldnt cause any problems. I regularly use 105 hps on my necro when dealing with nightmare weapon ( who doesnt have the divine favor advantage, or bonetti's.)
Naga if i'm not mistaken correct? Concussion shot/broadhead arrow are the interrupts? Plague touch is nice to get rid of this but your trying with a mo/mes. So ya mantra of resolve.
Distracting blow is the melee based interrupt you are dealing with which IMO is the easiest warrior interrupt to avoid. Just watch for the animation, it has a funny attack then cast. Same deal with squids in uw.
Ignorance to stop heal sig or just power thru it. Not certain if you can use the dazed condition to your advantage to interrupt heal sig by plague touching it on the boss and attacking him steadily.Never worried about interrupting heal sigs solo with necro I just power thru the heals. Maybe worth a shot since you say you have energy problems. Maybe i'll go hunt him down and try my luck.

See... you cant power through his heal sig. What whould I do that with? The only damage skill I got is SOJ. Plague touch is a great idea, but even if they do "dazed", it wears off pretty fast. not long enough to take care of his heal sigs. He just keeps spamming them every 4 sec or so.
He heals for a lot, and his heal sig casts twice as fast as it normally would.
I found another boss that drops a very nice green, and he uses Troll Ungruent. Same problem. He casts it twice as fast as it normally casts, and it's almost impossible to interrupt it, unless you're using a skill that would fire off in less than a second. Also this skill must stop him from casting it again in the next 10-40 secs... I was thinking diversion, but I cannot affort to spend enough points into it to remain effective.

Hence the whole reaon to use 105 hps
Nightmare weapon = 50 hps of life steal, easy to work around with 105 hps.
Ibex i managed to kill him 1x with 55 necro....not worth trying 55 hps imo.
Now the W/n build thats a different story kills him in 1-2 minutes flat. Just a slight variation of the solo grenths Sf warrior.
If you insist on doing it with 55 hps pull the warriors and sskai underneath the hill leaving the ritualist and rangers above so they cannot hit you. Doing this = no nightmare weapon or dazed.

I still dont understand what skills you use to kill him. I will use a 105hp monk, so my killing skill is SOJ. What else do you suggest I bring? Plague Touch?

ibex truthfully like I said it's not even worth it. Why would I use soj on a 55 necro? it's just so damn slow to kill IMO. Ya it has advantages is certain areas, but vs melee critters SS rapes. Still same build just different elite, slightly different tactics.
Ran my basic n/mo build SS, IP, brought plague touch didnt even use it. I only killed him once in maybe 10 tries. I got lucky with some insta cast/ faster recharge SS's on 2 regular naga warriors stacked up with the boss and was able to keep Ip on boss, once the 2 warriors dropped the boss was doomed because he had maybe 1/2 life left. The interrupts are a pain in the ass and I will openly admit I got lucky with the kill. Kept the ritualists and rangers stuck above me on the rock ledge...no worries from them.
Not even bothering using necro vs him like I said the w/n build stomps a mudhole on him. Pull him with longbow then proceed to kill him all by his lonesome. Wanna buy the sword?
Just joking

FYI, it's by far not always possible to pull him with a bow. Once he get's aggroed, his whole mob usually does too. Mabe something changed that I am unaware of?
Yeah I know you're joking. I want to get the sword by myself. It's the challenge of it that draws me... And off course the sword too. lol

i tried this repeatedly with a 55 monk, and the toll on the energy is just too big... you need to keep refreshing PS, HB, Ignorance, SoJ, AND keep up Mantra of Resolve. no thanks.
also imo the sword is rather... fugly.

This boss can also be killed with warrior/necromacer similar to SF Grenth's Balance warrior build.

Attributes :heal 13, prot 11, rest in tactics
he would take minimal damage and the bleeding seemed to have no effect? How do you do it??
