ele 55 build
Is there any reason why an ele 55 build with an e/mo couldn't work?
you have your basic monk skills to keep you alive and PBAoE to do damage.

ele 55 works, I have used it to tank in uw w/obsidian flesh.There's a quite a few around.
For general ele farming there's no need to be 55 tho, as you can stack the bonus' from armour of earth and kinetic armour, just using a plain geomancer farming build.

have you got all the usual enchantments? essence bond and balthazars spirit in particular?
If you're getting hit enough there's no nrg problem.

Heh, i followed Bez L's suggestions; but farming minotaurs at elona reach fails; too much damage; even if it is 5 damage at a time. 10 pips of health regen couldnt cover it.

lose the attunements for the enchantments i mentioned b4. I've taken the elona minos with a 55 build before, using earth rather than fire. careful not to cast your fire spells too close together, or you'll trigger fleeing.

I didn't trigger fleeing; what happened was my health would drop dangerously low, then shoot up fast with the regen. but once it was just too much and i died.
this was with a massive group of minos.
Also; I'm becoming very aware why this is best with a monk; because i wish I had more points into prot just so i wouldn't have to worry as much about keeping prot spirit up.
However, sup monk runes are all over 3k; but ele sup runes are 200 ish each, and i can't afford the more expensive.

well 55 ele takes down mobs faster then a 55 monk with SoJ. but monk has DIVINE FAVOR, and a PS that lasts 20 secs...
to rplace monks divine favor i used Restauration aura, but its a skill slot.
my 55 ele build:
flame burst
fire ball
prot spirit
heal breese
aura of restauration
essence bond
baltazar spirit
mending

Uhh 55 ele builds pwn. That's how you take 4 hydra's at once......you do need particular skills for it to work WELL tho.
On Energy: It sounds to me like almost all of your energy suffering is from the lack of using ether prodigy in your build. That's the ONLY way you're gunna have enough energy to pull off a 55 build and farm with any real speed. The best way to get this spell is to go to random arena and earn 3000 faction. That way you can get the spell early in the game by unlocking it through pvp and buying it from a skill vendor. With +6 energy regen (makes for +10 with your base) you can maintain protective spirit almost indefinatly, as long as you put enough into protection prayer. E storage doesnt mean as much and its really only there to act as a buffer for exhaustion.

The other method of energy regen involves the use of two different spells. Essecnce Bond, and Balthazar's spirirt. Both give -1 energey regen but +1 energy each time u take damage. When you have 5+ enemies attacking you at once, this method rocks and regens mana FAST, however, it does take up 2 skill slots instead of 1 and give you -2 regen making you weaker against single targets, and far less effective when you arnt being attacked by alot of creatures, but are still in combat.
On Healing: Reversal of fortune is what you should be using to heal yourself, not breeze or mending IMO, there are alot of people who use the breeze mending combo which works really for them i guess probably more energy efficent BUT id say less effective in the long run...combine aura of restoration with reversal of fortune, works pretty well....
On Damage: The fleeing....WHY OH WHY do people seem to think this is a bad thing, its a wonderful idea to take along a spell like lava font to trigger AoE fleeing if you're about to die, it's essentialy giving you a break to regen and spells to refresh why everything your being attacked by is running around like a retarded can of beans. The answer to your problems of being overwhelmed with a breeze/mending build is AoE fleeing!!!!
Using inferno + flame burst one after the other to trigger AOE then using flare while the monsters run around in stupid circles is awsome, and by the time they get back to attack you a fire ball + flame burst trigers it again and then they run...flare spam flare spam, the monsters come back...inferno + flame burst....flare spam flare spam....why would that be bad????
1. Flare

4. Fire Ball
5. Aura of Restoration
6. Reversal of Fortune
7. Ether Prodigy (E)
8. Protective Spirit
Attributes: (bases)
12 fire
10 protection prayers
rest E storage
Really easy, you have 55 hp, are only taking 6 damage max per attack, 1 reversal of fortune heals for 54hp, and aura of restoration gives you 35 hp for every spell you cast.
use ether prodigy once your ooE for +10 energy regen that never ends and have at it. Just make sure u use all your energy before it ends, which flame burst being a 15 mana cast 5 sec regen spells makes it easy. then just spam flares.
Never ending Never dieing chain casting action. The only thing that will kill you with this build is your own stupididty...or a degen spell lol

man... u are joking right H2Bh? Prodigy takes all your enchantments off when you cast it, and assuming your engaged in a fight where you need energy, your prot spirit will be off for that moment of cast time to where you stop casting, and after spell cast delay. Enough time to get you out.
I have actualy been doing uw farming alot with 55 ele, was too lazy to create a monk just to get one war skill on my bar to block and gain energy.
i am not sure what kinda problems your havving, technically, if you have typical skills, (mending, balth spirit, essence, aura of restoration, prot spirit and breeze) take Ward against MEELE if your dealing issues with over 10 foes at a time, 50% evade is awesome. As far as i remember, i can take upto 16-18 foes with ward up ( IF my earth attribute is maxed out) To kill, You may want to take either Aftershock, or SOJ, or Silver armour. If silver armour, dont use wards, else you will evade their attack so much still, that your energy regen will be slow compared to what you should be having.
If there is no bleeding issues, you can deal upto 2 foes without even using breeze.
By the way, i suggest you be flexible when going to go in different farming areas. At times, Ele/ranger using Mistform along with serpent's quickness gives you enough leeway to kill them faster. 55 is not always the best choice, unless that is the only choice you must take.
PS: For every point of Energy you got once prodigy ends, you take damage of that amout equalled. 55 ele using prodigy of max 60 energy by any chance, ah man, it hurts when prodigy ends.

I never have issues, I use fleeing to control the fact i loose all enchantments for the 1/4th of a second it takes to recast prot spirit you can chain both spells and only be vulnerable for 1/4 of a second.... It's never been an issue...plus there's always reversal of fortune to buy you extra time...and yes i mentioned the fact that u are delt 2 damage for every 1 point of energy you have. Basicly thats the easiest way to die, but in most cases i dont have more than 5-10 energy when it ends, I simply pay attention to when its about to end.....
Casting ether prodigy, reversal of fortune, protective spirit is how i stay alive. Its not like protective spirit doesnt wear off naturaly in 10-19 seconds anyway and I find that having unending energy, (for a small risk factor which once you get used to killing whatever it is ur trying to farm u should be able to find gaps in damage) better than no energy at all.
I use the build on hydras only for the most part, maybe in underworld there's to much going on. But I can handle 4 hydras with this build easily enough. Just have to watch for the little flare icons over thier heads and make sure u AoE and casue them to run inbetween your ether prodigies...which lasts twice as long as protective spirirt on average leaving u plenty of time to do this.
I can see what you're saying tho if 10+ things where attacking me Im sure that having a small gap in enchantments may be a problem. This build was designed in and for the dessert and works everywhere as far as the dessert is concerned.
As far as buying elite skills from a skill vendor...hmm Im seeing 2 avaible to me currently from the non-town based skill vendors. I was under the impression ANY unlocked skill is buyable from a trainer elite or otherwise regaurdless of location in game as well. As I had ether prodigy already maybe you can't...Ill find out in 800 faction when I try to buy Water trident as its one of the few elites I dont have currently.

am actualy used to tank with ob flesh against hydras, so never had much of an issue with their casts. infernos hurt me 37, while i am getting healed quite fast :/
