Default W/N Razajan/Reaver Farm

I know there are other posts out there for killing Razajan ....

However, I have been fiddling around with a build to be able to get to Razajan but also be able to kill Merki the Reaver on the way there just to maximize the time I am spending on this farm.

I tried a few different builds based on the Razajan Axe farm build I saw posted here somewhere (forgive me, can't find the link to post credit) but health management was constantly an issue with Merki. The problem is that with that build you have used your elite on Charge, which is not necessarily important here.

Credit goes to this guide for getting me to Razajan

The build in this guide is basically the same build as my Merki the Reaver Farm.

However I made a few minor tweaks to that build to give me more options for killing other types of enemies.

Skills

Dolyak
Heal Sig
Grenths Balance
Riposte
Deadly Riposte
Endure Pain
Wary Stance
Sprint

But wait....that's the same exact build as your Merki farm you say? Yes, it is skill wise, but the one difference is that instead of maxing out your tactics you put some attribute points into your sword. In my case, I have a req 8 Zealous wingblade, so I believe I put 8 (could have been more and I don't have the game running right now to check) in swords by using a superior sword rune. This enables me to leave strength at 12 and tactics as high as they will go as well.

With this build you can easily kill Ritualists, Assasins, Warriors and Deathhands.

That alone makes it easier to get to Merki.

The only trick is when there are deathhands present do not use deadly riposte because they plague touch you. So make sure you kill them first. Then trade over to the assasins. You use any warriors you have aggroed as your healing. When your health gets low, switch over to a warrior and hit him with Grenths. If things somehow get really ugly hit Endure Pain.

This is all much easier than it actually sounds.

So in any event, follow my same instructions for getting to Merki from ther Merki guide, kill him. Then it's off to find Razajan.

When you sprint into the shiroken groups, make sure you have an offhand with energy equipped as a means of ensuring you can fire off wary stance.

As soon as sprint is expiring, hit wary stance. it will prevent the bulk of major damage and recharge all your energy to hit sprint again as soon as wary stancec expires. Again, very simple process.

As for killing Razajan. Well, if you manage to do the rest of this guide and get to Razajan and can't kill him.....you probably had a lobotomy between the time you left Merki's corpse and arrived at Razajan.

In other words, not much to explain. He is extremely easy.

With this build you can kill all types of outcasts including ritualists, saltspray dragons, no more than 1 oni at a time, Merki and Razajan. It's pretty versatile.

Good luck, enjoy

After spending a few more minutes with this build I noticed something I hadn't noticed upon posting.

1. There is no need to kill the rits, they do almost 0 damage to you and they don't interfere with the bosses dying.
2. You can speed things up by aggroing Outcasts near Merki into the Shiroken, however this isn't always foolproof.

Out of all builds I have seen this is by far the best to actually get you to Merki. Wary Stance keeps you from taking damage and it not only blocks the ranger skill that would have removed 10 energy but it gives you +5 energy on every block.

Indeed. Grenth's is one of the best skills in the game and no one knew it until the Grenth's solo post.

thanks for the build. I'll put this next in line. However, Grenth's Balance power was known among Glint-killing teams for Dragon's Lair bonus.

You are joking right? GB was a pretty common part of many RA Warrior builds for a very long time. Someone just decided to use it to farm and viola.

No, I am not joking. I had well over 1000 hours in this game before I ever saw anyone make decent use of it. So clearly it wasn't that widespread.

Exactly, and credit should be paid where it is due. Your grenths farming build was an awesome find and I am sure it took you quite a bit of work. Since then, there are about 1000 grenth's builds including a couple of variations I made myself.

Been soloing with Grenth's balance for months now. Used to use it while farming UW about a year ago.

I use a similar build to farm Rajazan but I use galarth and Silverwing instead of endure pain and wary stance. it helps to take down the outcast assasin and warrior faster.

By the way, I have notice that he does not always appear to be bringing his sword( board sword skin). I soloed him about 40 times but he only bought it for twice and in the rest of the other runs he brought a wricked blade. And in the two runs he brought the board sword, for one time he dropped a white board sword (>.<), and in another run he dropped his sword. (anyonce notice this too?)

It is a easy farm, after a few trial run, I can do it with 90% success rate. But it does take patience as the drop rate is tough. I wonder why it is sold at such a low price.

(After adding his sword to my collection, I have decided not to farm him anymore)
