Default 5 Man ORO Monk build?

Hey there, I wanted to do some 5 man ORO runs on my monk as a healer, can any one hook me up with a good build for 5 man oro? Thanks.

I believe people are using B/P these days, so set up for that.

Ive had success using the basics, word healing, orison, kiss and devotion signet.

A small aside, you might end up as a battery for the mm , my last outing ,granted the mm knew his stuff, but it seemed like some spell he was using canceled my healing breeze on him and he constantly needed heals after he would continually use blood of the master.

Figure on the battles taking roughly 2 minutes unless you get a bad pull.

Quite frankly, most basic PvE heal builds will do fine with a 5-man Oro build. Virgorous Spirit and Dwaynas Kiss are well suited for the area since Barrage triggers VS on each arrow and hexes are relatively prevalent as well. I went back on an Oro run a while ago on my monk and used a basic Zealous Benediction build with Gift of Health and it worked just fine as well.

Well, thanks for the replys.. BTW Dr Stangelove, when I said build I meant my skill build, not the party build.

Last night after posting this I wasn't getting any replys so I decided to just try a build.. It worked PHENOMINAL.. I love the build, and if you guys want to use it here it is, and your right about the basics, this build has WoH in it as the elite.

Weapon: Garddock's Staff (Brohn's Staff is best, I just can't afford it ATM)

Attribs:
Healing: 12 + 3
Protection: 7
Divine Favor: 10

Skills:
Essence bond
{E}Word Of Healing
Healing Seed
Dwayna's Kiss
Healing Breeze
Mend Alignment
Orison Of Healing
Rebirth

TACTICS: I used Essence bond on the warrior (tank) for energy, and put Healing seed on him JUST before going into battle so he got health freely for 10 seconds, Orison of healing is ONLY to be used on yourself for when you get caught up by enemies, and possibly for the MM if he is using BoTM to give him a few points.

Don't bring a Hex Removal skill as dwayna's kiss is powered by this, the hexes barely do much anyways at the max -5 degen, dwayna's kiss will bring them back to full health.

Healing breeze was NOT in the build last night, HOWEVER.. I was reaching for it but forgot I didn't have it in my build many times, so I decided to put it in there instead of Jamei's Gaze, use Healing Breeze on the necro when he is saccing.

I never ran out of energy, not once was I shouting for BR from the necro, I always had energy due to my Essence bond so don't forget to take that, and keep it up at all times.

Hope this build works for you, it kicked ass for me, but my group was also very experienced which is hard to find now a days..

Enjoy!

I came up with a little bit of a build for myself. This healing build works in most places where a healer is needed in the group. Its a little tough to heal yourself with it, but if you play right you shouldnt have to anyway!

Healing= 12+3
prot= 3
Divine= 12+2

Word of Healing {E}
Dwayna's Kiss
Mend Ailment
Signet of Devotion
Divine Spirit
Heal Party
Heal Other
Rebirth/res of your choice

Heal other is pretty easily swappable since its not used much. The Signet and Divine Spirit are for energy conservation, before you get in trouble try to cast divine spirit and Word, Dwayna's, and Mend will cost 0 energy!

Another option to consider is a Healer's Boon Build. Like any heal build, your allies might die from a spike faster than you can heal, but HB allows spells to be cast faster and with a larger return of energy. Stripping does happen in SF, but if you stand back and keep an eye out for when you need to recast, you should be fine. A standard HB build would run with HB, Ethereal Light (works well since the fast cast makes it unlikely to get interupted), Dwayna's Kiss, and Words of Comfort. The rest of the build is pretty open to what you like. Hex and Condition removal really isn't that necessary in the area since the only conditions you will encounter are Weakness and Bleeding and are nothing to worry about. Hexes encountered are Life Siphon, Conjure Phantasm, and Crippling Anguish. The degen can be a pain, but it's still nothing really bad. Using Dwayna's Kiss with HB to counter hexes is likely more energy (and time) efficient than actually removing them.

^^

I could definitely see HB as a strong build in oro...just a tad annoying when HB gets shattered by a random dolyak aggroing weird.

[skill]Orison of Healing[/skill][skill]Heal Other[/skill][skill]Healing Touch[/skill][skill]Watchful Healing[/skill][skill]Protective Spirit[/skill][skill]Healer's Boon[/skill][skill]Power Drain[/skill][skill]Resurrection Chant[/skill]

Watchful healing is a good regen tool for bleeding and can protect you from having boon removed. Protection prayers are set low because the only time I use Protective Spirit is when aggroing the Furnace Guardians.Energy maintainence for this build is power drain and also simply not over healing. I've been doing Final Assault runs lately because I love the shiverpeaks and it's a nice quiet area. Use power drain on gnashers to stop minion births , deep freeze and importantly the binders wells of suffering. That build owns.

oops almost forgot my points distribution
16 heal
6 prot
13 divine
4 inspiration

Hexes and conditions are spammed on the team so using removers is a waste of energy and skill slots.
