Default Good offensive Earth build? (Dont want to tank or melee)

Hey all,

I have a Ele that I am going to dust off and bring back into the game. It is a fire ele but I got bored with it a long time ago. Well I am ready to break it out again. The funny thing is mainly because I have been playing a boss farming A/E using silver armor, obsidian flame and aftershock. So i was looking for a good Earth build but dont want to do melee with it(already have a War and a Derv for my melee fun). I saw a lot of builds but it seems like most(or at least a lot) are geared towards PVP. I only play PVE. I also have all 3 chapters. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I use
Unsteady Ground
Ebon Hawk
Glowstone
Stoning
Aftershock
Armor of Earth
Earth attunement
and always a cap sig (or if in pug, res sig)

You can drop after shock or sig for stone daggers.
You can even put in Earthquake or dragon stomp to make aftershock more effective. The high energy cost shouldn't phaze you too much. This is a fairly energy efficient build.

drop the signet.

an alternate build would be
earthquake
aftershock
ebon hawk
glowstone
stoning
earth attunement
stone daggers/armor of earth/res sig/cap sig
mystic prism (not sure of name, it's energy storage elite which gives you nearly unlimited energy if used right)

[skill]Earth Attunement[/skill][skill]Sandstorm[/skill][skill]Arcane Echo[/skill][skill]Ward Against Melee[/skill][skill]Armor of Earth[/skill][skill]Hex Breaker[/skill][skill]Earthquake[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

Pretty simple.

Attributes, mess around with them. Just don't put too much in Domination.

*Note* Skill Number 5 is [skill=text]Armor of Earth[/skill], not [skill=text]Kinetic Armor[/skill]

For defence, Stone Striker and Mantra of Earth would be good. Although :I haven't tried it yet, the two spells combined means you would take very little damage.

Cool

Meh, I don't like their builds for Earth DAMAGE, so here's mine

Glyph of Lesser Energy
Sandstorm
Eruption
Churning Earth
Earthquake (Dragon Stomp)
Lightbringers Gaze / Web of Disruption / Hex Breaker / Resurrect skill
Aura of Restoration
Earth Attunement

The good news is, latest skill balance gave Eruption a blind per PULSE, and 10 less energy usage for Churning Earth! Can't go wrong there :-)

Consider swapping Aura for a ward or party heal if you must.

Regards

The skill balance changes were temporary.

Concerning builds, I'd go for the Sandstorm ones.

True, I did try it and it's quite OK. the fast casting time allows you to put it on instantly when needed. the energy gain is a nice bonus. Heroes are very good at it too, they seem to understand the combo.

haha, welcome to the magical world of the geomancer (pyromancer FTL )

combine these skills:

In regions without the risk off enchantment stripping:
[skill]Earth Attunement[/skill][skill]Stone Striker[/skill][skill]Mantra of Earth[/skill][skill]Stoneflesh Aura[/skill] and your near indistructable through dmg, lookout for degen tho. I started using this combo the first days when nightfall just came out and played around with the same idea to create our Guild HA Earth ele build.

For offence you can add a knockdown skill like [skill]Earthquake[/skill] combined with [skill]Sandstorm[/skill]

Fill in the rest to your own desire. Maybe a Ward can add some group defense too. Or [skill]Arcane Echo[/skill] to copy the Sandstorm or the Earthquake ...
