A R/E has a few builds that do some nice damage. Maybe not the most damage, but still not too shabby.
I have been having fun with Burning Arrow and Steam. Throw in Apply Poison and Conjure and you have max degen + blind plus a bump to damage on every arrow. It causes all kinds of problems for melee enemies. If you have energy problems throw out conjure and go with a zealous string, or a vamp one. That said....I love Flail too Edit: when I said Conjure....I assumed you know I meant frost and not flame, but added this just to make sure. R/p can also use gfte (go for the eyes) and envious anthem, both skills easily spammable with barrage (or quick hits with shortbows or w/e). I like my 2 r/p ranger heroes, they're fun to use.
