2 Rangers + heroes touring the Domain of Anguish
A guild mate and I have begun work on the Domain of Anguish using our heroes. She is a ranger, like me, and both of us have a complete complement of well-equipped heroes modulo the Ritualist.
We've been able to navigate the Fissure of Woe and the Underworld quite easily but the Domain of Anguish is proving to be a tad difficult. Are we being quixotic?
Any and all counsel will be appreciated, particularly recommendations for dealing with "Enraged."

I think the only way to really deal with Enraged is to limit your damage to only one target until it's dead, move to the next target and kill it, wash, rinse, repeat. Honestly, I've tried going into DoA a bit, but always find it more frustrating than fun regardless of whoever I take and whatever strategy I try.

No Splash Damage because Enraged sucks. As everyone said, spike them.

Or you could assume that everyone brings their own copy of Prot Spirit, or you use a dedicated player tank (this likely requires less heroes), and just nuke the shit out of everything. Works pretty well in some of the areas, like the one with those silly touchers.

Thanks all. Ubermancer's point about Protective Spirit seems particularly helpful. I'll post again should we discover any apparently innovative approaches.

Things die... either them in large quantities... them in small quantities... or whoever went to lure them and if not enough distance, the rest of there team too.
As far as Enraged goes... if your touring with heros... they'll be dead before Enraged actually starts to matter. Personally i think Call of the Torment can be a much bigger problem.

Evilsod, why is "Call to the Torment" more of a problem than "Enraged" in DoA? Dealing with it elsewhere merely requires a well-focused spike. Is it magnified in DoA in some way that I'm not aware of? As far as I can tell, it's sheer numbers and Enraged that's causing my partner and I to take dirt naps.

Because:
1. Enraged does jack shit to a target who has Protective Spirit on him (bar Shatter Enchantment), and considering these things do more than enough to kill people as it is... Enraged is just overkill.. chances are without PS your dead anyway.
2. This is what happens when Call of the Torment gets out of control.
For the record... this was taken after we'd killed the Greater Darkness/Darkness. And yes, that really is a wammo bonder.

Evilsod, I just showed your image to my guild mate. As a result, she's decided to only play new characters in pre-searing Prophecies from now on. Thanks so much.
Point taken.
Perhaps you should have taken in the new elite "Burning Arrow Infinite Barrage of Punishing Shots." Seriously, how helpful was "Edge of Extinction?"

EoE was up the whole time that happened... It made no difference. Only 3 melee will ever atack at the same time once they get below 50% health, once you get to more than 10 they just never seem to actually die, instead they just damage themselves from smiting bonds, run, duplicate, wait ages for another few to damage themselves, etc, go back in with full health.
The same thing happened purely with Flesh Torments when we killed Mallyx yesterday. Took us a while to kill them all 1 or 2 at a time, but we only had to kill 15-20... unlike the 50+ that thankfully we avoided completely.

EoE of the "golden glory days now past" would have been so incrediblly sweet in DoA.
