Default SoA farming for monk primaries and non monk primaries post "nerf", 0 downtime

I'm sure all the monk farmers out there are concerned with SoA and the increased casting time, and how you need to invest more in divine favor to get longer duration out of it. However there's another solution, and it only requires 10 protection prayers!

Old Version: [skill]Shielding Hands[/skill]
Shielding Hands-Decreased duration to 8 seconds, Decreased recharge to 15 seconds

In the recent update this skill was buffed considerably, it now has 7.25 seconds downtime, and only 5.65 seconds downtime with an enchanting weapon. Shield of Absorbtion [skill]Shield of Absorption[/skill] has a 6 second duration with 10 protection prayers, 7 seconds of downtime, and 5.8 seconds of downtime with an enchanting weapon.

So, assuming you have an enchanting weapon (yes, I have tested this):
T=0s Cast SH
T=8.5s Start casting SoA
T=9.5s SoA finishes
T=9.6s SH ends
T=15s SH recharges, start recasting it
T=15.25s SH finishes
T=16.7s SoA ends

Meaning that one of these skills is active at any given time. Assuming you have protective spirit and 55 hitpoints, all damage you take is 0.

Enjoy

If you are going to use a third skill to take up the slack, you are better off with Spirit Bond.

When used in conjunction with Protective Bond or Protective Spirit, the effect of Shielding Hands is applied after those.

Honestly, when did THIS get changed?
I've tested it a while ago and shielding hands never worked this way, they allways came before Prot Spirit.

I just tried it out and this actually works pretty darn well. 10 prot +20% enchants is plenty to keep either one or the other on all the time.

As long as Shielding Hands is cast AFTER prot spirit, you're fine. If you have to refresh Prot Spirit right after you cast SH, you won't get the reduction from Shielding Hands.

Just make sure you keep prot spirit buried (I try to refresh it before I use SH every time) and you'll be fine.
