Default X/Me Sskai Solo Build, Any Primary Profession can do it.

Basically this build consists of 5 main skills.

11 Domination
6 Inspiration

Signet of Midnight [E]
Spirit of Failure
Ignorance
Empathy
Mantra of Resolve

Now, down to each profession
I am only listing the skills you need or might need on top of the main 5

W/Me,
Deadly Riposte
Healing Signet
Sprint (optional)

Mo/Me
Smite
Prot spirit/spirit bond
Reversal of fortune

N/Me
Price of Failure
Reckless Haste
Enfeebling Touch

A/Me
Shadow Refuge

Rit/Me
Pain/Bloodsong
Bloodsong/Ether Feast
Shelter

Ele/Me
Immolate
Aura of Restoration
Smoldering Embers

R/Me
Predatory Bond
Poisonous Bite
Scavenger Strike

Above are the build that allow every profession to solo sskai for his sword. What you do is hit mantra of resolve after you have pulled him. Then hit sig of midnight to blind him. Cast Spirit of failure imediately after sig of midnight. Then just keep ignorance and empathy on him and he should be dead. The 3 primary profession skills should be used whenever nessesary, but use sig of midnight as soon as it recharges and renewal mantra of resolve, ignorance, and spirit of failure as soon as it expires. Those 4 are very important.

The Credit goes to me.

Wow... that works way too well and is way too easy. Especially as a primary memsmer (16 Domination, 13 Inspiration, 4 Fast Casting). I didn't even need e-tap

Got it on my 3rd kill. Thanks!

Edit: Watch out for Oni, though... gotta re-zone if more than one spawns and you're a squishy.

the Oni can be avoided. If you go between the mod fighting on the left and the lone squid looking thing on the right. and take a right and run straight at the cliff, you will not spawn any Oni at all. For a primary mes, you can also use clumsiness to make the run faster.

The Oni spawn points are random and you will still occationally trigger them regardless. While the path you mention minimizes your chance to run into them (by skating between their spawn zones), it does not eliminate it alltogether. Though rare, I've had Oni's spawn right on the edge of the beach where Sskai is. As far as using Clumsiness to make it go faster, I'm not so sure that would work since I would have to reduce attributes in other areas to bump up Illusion high enough to make it worth while. If anything, I think the time cut off per run would be negligable.

Hmm, target touched foe is blinded correct.. Then doesn't that kind of hinder you and your pet, I would have thought he's supposed to be taking the damage.

for the three warrior skills, one of them is deadly riposte. how does that take into effect the fact that he'll be blinded? lol

Sig of Midnight will blind you but not your pet, so your pet will still do damage.
You will have 16 in Beast Mastery and 0 in marksmanship.

Deadly Riposte still works disregarded that he's blind. All these builds have tested and works wonderfully. The fastest of these will be Necro and Warrior and Mesmur because Necro will have price of failure, warrior will have deadly riposte, and mesmur will simply make these skills more powerful.

as a monk, i rather use mending and protective bond along with mesmer skills, with :

domination 12
inspiration 10
healing 9 (for mending +3)
protection 6 (which is enough to only lose 5 energy per hit with prot bond)

this build is way safer as the original one mentioned as all energy can be freely spent on chain casting mesmer skills, all you got to pay attention to is not being interrupted when using signet of midnight, mending and prot bond being more than enough to stand blinded Sskai's lucky hits.

Might be a little off topic, but I was trying the posted build and luring didn't always seem to work out so well.

This actually worked much faster, just agro the bunch and target Sskai

No drops yet though

IW works, but that requires you do invinci builds like 55 or Spirit Bond. which requires part monk and part mesmer.

This way might not be so too the point, but it gets the job done while only requiring part mesmer.

On your ranger one, you dont list Charm Animal, making the three you did list useless lol.

The post is about ability to do the farm with a part mes, not about how 'easy' it is.

Point taken =)

Thanks!

I have been trying this with

- Signet of Midnight
- Illusion of Haste (to get away from Oni and bad pulls)
- Empathy
- Spirit of Failure
- Mantra of Resolve
- Ether Feast (he allways gets way too many LUCKY blinded hits on me)
- Ignorance
- Conjure Phantasm (to make it go faster)

and it works pretty well. I have died a couple of times (stupid Oni) and only killed him 6 times, no sword for me yet though.

Will keep trying so I can get another sword for my warriors collection. Thanks again

About the ranger build, charm animal was assumed and you can pick one of the attack skills to take. sry for the misconception.

It is similar to a build I posted on another site a few months ago

I actually used it on my Warrior for a laugh and got the Sword, but it works better on a Mesmer primary becaue of the extra damage.

All attribute points in Domination and Inspiration.

Mesmer build

Signet of Midnight
Empathy
Ignorance
Wastrels Worry
Mind Wrack
Spirit Shackles
Spirit of Failure
Physical Resistance (for the hits he manages to get while blind)

Warrior build

Diversion instead of Ignorance because of energy issues.

Funny thing was he got more hits on my Warrior than he did on my Mesmer while blind!!

The build is great...works like a charm..and indeed seems too easy :P
