Default R/a build please?

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the r/a build using daggers. I’ve looked in the search and on wiki but I didn’t have any luck. The build seemed pretty good and I wanted to try it. Thx

You'll find some of them under unfavored and archived builds. There were several, like the [wiki]R/A Repeat Expertise Assassin[/wiki], which was actually a favored build until a whole bunch of negative votes hit it on 15 december 2006. Odd...

Best I can think of is Leaping Mantis -> Temple Strike -> Death Blossom/9tailed strike with ranger skills like WD and Throw Dirt, and Signet of Malice thrown in for safety.

An R/A build I made on my own is as follows:

Expertise 11(9+2)
Wilderness11(7+3+1)
Dagger Mastery 12
Shadow Arts 4

1.Flashing Blades{E}/Escape{E}
2.Jagged Strike
3.Jungle Strike
4.Death Blossom
5.Lightning Reflexes
6.Whirling Defence
7.Shadow Refuge
8.Troll Unguent

This works in most PvP situations and this is a pretty capable build. You can use Flashing Blades as you will be attacking a lot and the more you attack, the more likely you will avoid damage.Escape, however , is a better choice for an evasion skill, in my opinion anyway.

i have been having fun with this build for some time

beast mastery: 8 (6+2)
expertise: 13 (10+1+2)
dagger mastery 12
D.art 2
S. arts 5

1.Black Spider Strike
2.horns of the ox
3.moebius strike
4.death blossom
5.siphon speed
6.tiger's/ beastial fury
7.Heart of shadow/Shadow refuge
8.res

Use the stance, choose target, use siphon speed, Hit BSS then horns of the ox, moebius strike after that just keep usin death blossom -> moebius -> blossom until target is below 50% hp and start KD fiesta using horns of the ox -> moebius combo... it works fine with just 20e and zealous daggers...

and then there was 1 high dmg build, but because of lack of self healing and required conditions... it's not that good

beast mastery 9 (8+1)
expertise 13 (10+1+2 i think)
dagger mastery 12

1.leaping mantis strike
2.wild strike
3.horns of the ox
4.falling spider
5.blades of steel
6.moebius strike
7.tigers / beastial fury
8.res

simple... use stance, choose target which is not attached to anyone, hit 1,2,3,4,5,6 until target is dead...

my friend really likes his R/A RaO ranger build. try cheap attacks since you don't get energy back from critical strikes and they don't get reduced by expertise.

+33% attack rate is deadly with a high dagger mastery. because of the chance to double strike. i'd reccomend putting it at 12 with 11 beast mastery (i forgot what rank gives you a 20 sec rao, but i think it is 10 or 11). it duration and recharge were cut in half during the HA weekend, but they were changed back to normal.

if you don't want to use RaO, i'd say have a medium expertise and wilderness survival. with apply pioson, troll urgent, and lighting reflex's and then your chain.

If you want an effective PvE build, I've found two.

[card]Assassin's Promise[/card][card]Lightning Reflexes[/card][card]Death's Charge[/card][card]Black Spider Strike[/card][card]Twisting Fangs[/card][card]Black Lotus Strike[/card][card]Blades of Steel[/card]

Works great anywhere with minimal hex removal or monk healing. Loads of damage and conditions that never has to recharge, constant 33% IAS and 75% blocking. I like death's charge because it compensates for the time you have to spend casting promise. You can stick a second hex in the optional if you mess up the use of promise, or bring a hero with a few hexes. Just don't PvE with any combo over 4 second recharge unless you are packing Promise, mobs die too fast for your DPS to compare to a warrior or elementalist if you are waiting around for a recharge.

A simpler, more robust build, with AoE damage even

[card]Apply Poison[/card][card]Jagged Strike[/card][card]Wild Strike[/card][card]Death Blossom[/card][card]Moebius Strike[/card][card]Natural Stride[/card]

I used to stick a second dual attack as an option, but it's not as important now with 2 sec recharge on blossom. Get an enemy's health low fast with conditions, then just spam blossom over and over for a ton of armor-ignoring AoE damage. Natural stride gets you to targets faster and gives decent defense (sort of your "critical defense" alternative)

how about just bring an enchantment, golden phoenix strike, repeating strike, and death blossom or even critical strike for energy management and 12 expertise so you can spam repeating strike like 50 brazillion times b4 having to stop...

Because that's really lousy, even *with* rampage as one. Either build I posted is far better, probably some others in this thread as well.

Repeating strike is fairly irredeemable.

Heres one I just tried, works pretty well. Its another version of the moebius-blossom forever combo.

[skill]Moebius strike[/skill][skill]Death Blossom[/skill][skill]Fox Fangs[/skill][skill]Desperate strike[/skill][skill]Apply poison[/skill][skill]Natural stride[/skill][skill]Signet of Malice[/skill][skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]

14 expertise
12 dagger mastery
9 ws

Pretty self explanatory. restore conditions/avoid damage/chase kiters with skills 6-7-8, and get yourself in for the Mob->blossom->Mob->Blossom with 1-2-3-4. Very exploitable in AB and RA, just watch out for hexes. Your attacks will only cost 2 energy, so spam away.

Overall the trick to R/A sin builds is to go somewhat for high-pressure over spike. Good sin spike builds need crit strikes and should be A/, as an R/A you need a chain that would be too expensive for a Primary sin to use that recharges quickly, so you can spam spam spam.
