Default Amsterdam's: Junundu, boss farming guide.

Ok boys and girls, here we go, nightfall has been out for a couple weeks, I've made a Million, time for you to capitolize on my knowledge of the desolation.

Part 1. The Ranger boss solo run.

Starting off at the Bone Palace, you will exit the west exit. There will be a worm spoor directly in front of you. Hop in, if you are interested in lightbringer points, as I am, you can cruise over to the rez shrine, pick up the lightbringer bonus for killing elementals, smoke the two Djiins that are there, get your 4 lightbringer points, who have the possibility of dropping some fine golds, and then follow the map below to the Vah the Crafty, the first boss in this run.

Ok now that you know how to get there, I would use your 6th skill, the junundu tunnel, once when you enter the sulfer, and then it should be recharged right before you get to Vah. Sprinting right before you get to Vah is a good idea because any trailing agro will be shaken. You and Vahs 3 Mangradors. It is imortant, always when you are in Junundu, to build adrenaline by always be attacking, when 2 gets charged, hit 2, then 3, so you can smash down, KD'ing all enemies in your immidiate vacinity, then 3 will smash down for more damage on one of them and you will be healed for 500 hp. I always kill the mangrador around him. One of them dropped me a Req 9 Aurite Aegis, which was worth about 150k at the time I found it, it had a +30 hp mod on it. They are worth killing. After you kill Vah and hopefully he drops this hornbow :

Here is the way to the next zone: You will probably need 1 run skill. and maybe 1 skill to heal yourself. You will be spit out of the worm after Vah and have to run to the yellow worm spoor on the map.

Now for the Death Eater and the modern day Ettin farm for runes. I've gotten inventories worth of rune components here. Its a great way to unlock all the new ones. This guy has got to be one of the easiest bosses to farm in Nightfall that I've found. Its pretty much just get in a worm, kill him, and as I like to say, rinse and repeat. Just zone in and out of the zone, killing over and over again.

Here is what you are farming for:

The bow is Platinum Skinned, +30 Hp always, +5 energy, and 33% longer crippled duration, not THAT usefull, but its not THAT bad. So farm it, sell iit, make some dough.

Here is another reason to farm here, runes, all the time...

Here is the map, just incase:

Part 2 :Farming with a friend, 'cause Junundu don't like doin' it alone.

As the picture above shows, its more fun to farm things with a friend. Ill put maps down on a few of the easy locations for 2 man farms. (all of which CAN be one manned. All it takes is picking away at the groups of guys around them. The order to take them out in is : Acolytes, Thought Leaches, Giants, then the rest, then the boss. This way takes long and can be tedious, so I would reccomend doing this with a friend).

Boss number 1 : Dunsek The Purifier : Drop : 20/20 healing wand named Dunsek's Purifier.

As I was typing this I went out and soloed him to get the map and a screenshot for you guys. He dropped a gold scroll and a guy next to him dropped gold req. 9 ancient daggers. Not bad for no green drop. Here is your map for this guy. (if you want to solo him, go in and kill the Queen first, then kill off 1 or 2 bugs, then back out, heal up, go in and smash apart the rest, if you need to take 1 more rest for healing, so be it. Just remember allways to get your junundu feast off, if you get blinding breath in that slot, its game over for everyone, 400 damage to all adjacent foes every couple seconds makes anything possible).

Leave the Lair of the Forgotten to the south (this town is north of bone palace if you don't have it). After you leave use a run skill to get by the first giants, and then hop in the spoor, as soon as you hop in some mangradors usually pop up. It might take 2 or 3 times to perfect getting in this worm, but it isn't tooooo hard.

Boss 2: Alem the Unclean : a rit boss who drops a Restoration staff +15 energy always, +5 energy^50 +30 hp.

Exiting the Ruins of Salahja to the south-east, you get in the worm spoor and travel south-west, junundu tunneling by large groups. Follow the map:

Once you get there, go spike the boss, collect the green, and bail.

Boss 3: Kent the Fierce : drops a green shield with +30 hp and +10 vs. slashing if I remeber right.

Leave north out of the Ruins of Salahja. The worm spoor will be on your left. Follow the map to Kent, he is a toughy sometimes, you both need to be attacking him constantly to drop him.

Boss 4: Hadjkor, Mystic Flame : 20/20 fire magic wand

Not a hard boss to farm, and a pretty easy item to sell. South out of Salahja this time. Worm spoor right away and then follow this map:

Thats all for now. 2 hours of map making and screenshot taking is enough for one day. Ill post some more sometime, let me know how these work for you, if they drop for you. etc.

Contact me in game if you need anything as well.

All you do is hop in the worm, any build can do it, any character with any profession, just get a run skill... or even without one there are still doable bosses.

I love this guide! Junundu farming works remarkably well.
I haven't gotten a green drop yet, but I've been opening chests and on my first one my paragon got a gold spear with 10% chance for 20% adrenaline.
Thanks for posting this

Great guide. Easy to follow, great maps, and very well compiled.

I've done roughly 10 trips through Vah and Rendabi hoping for a drop and haven't picked up nary a green. A few Golds (one of which containing a 15/\50 Inscription, so that's nice), a few Runes, but neither bow. Which is a shame, since I'm aiming to grab Vah's bow for my girlfriend's Ranger.

However, both Hadjkor and Dunsek dropped their greens my first time killing them, and Hadjkor dropped his the time I tried directly afterwards, so I'm more than happy with how drop-rates are favouring me today.

Truth be told, today's runs have mainly been for practice for this weekend. Nothing beats grabbing a few Greens on practice runs.

Junundu wurm fighting makes everything fun again. Nothing quite like running around with no dp unlimited rez 3000 hp siege tanks to make your day

Question is this ... are you soloing with your wurm or bringing an extra hench or what? I know a simple Wurm Shout (or whatever its called) from a party member will rez everyone to full, but you can't rez yourself to full when you're soloing and die. While a full party of wurms can destroy pretty much anything they encounter (or even half that as I discovered on the Gates of Desolation mission), a single wurm can and will be spiked down to nothing from concentrated firepower.

Obviously, you want to have the least amount of people in your party to have the most chance of acquiring the drops.

What's your strategy?

I don't bring henchmen, if I go out with 2 worms, I bring a friend, if anyone ever needs a buddy to go with, try P.M.ing me, If I'm online I would love to go with.

To answer your question, when I need healing, which I don't for Vah and the ranger bosses, I do one of two things.
1: I use 2, and then 3, when you strike a target with that you gain 500 h.p.
2: I run in, kill some targets, run out, heal up, run back in, you can't spike out all bosses right off. You need to pick away at other monks, then mezmers that interupt, then necros and rangers, then you can usually finish off.

Thanks guys, I'm glad this has been a hit.
