Can we say that those 60 seonds can be spent running to other shrines, waiting to cap shrines, or just simple fighting without it? with things like mystic regen (with 3 other enchantments including VITAL BOON) I can be a huge tank without any elite at all, just those 7 skills.

I'm starting to think people hate avatars because they find nothing to do during that 60 seconds. Pathetic, really.

so your agreeing with me? you just said that you can "tank"(not the correct word, but whatever) without an avatar. so if you can do without, then why do with when you could have something thats actually helpful?

in a mission or something where u r fighting lots and can make use of an avatar then its good, if u tend not to be fighting much take a defensive elite that isnt an avatar

He didnt ask for help on deciding if avys are bad. He asked for help on WHICH avy would be good for AB. Reading comprehension FTW (not in your case though) go troll someplace else, and stop ruining a perfectly good thread.

BTW id have to say, either Melandru or Balthazar. Id imagine that both would be quite nice in capping all the shrines, the Balth speed boost looks like it would help alot too.

Sure, there are other elites to choose from but an avatar would not be bad to have. On that 60 second cooldown time, you can be spent running to other shrines to TAKING other shrines.

lol vow of strength owns but the best avatar in ab would be melandru combined with wearying strike and some decent self healing also zealous renewal would be good if u used melandru and wearying strike

dwayna is actually not a bad choice, she cud be self spike healer and spike dmging at once plus a hex remover (which mesmers and necros hate) I personally wud make a build NOT based on elites then fit it in, so far, i only use dwayna in pve or pvp or other things when i NEED to,

TO ppl hu finks avtars suk, they suk. Avatars last 1 min (except for grenth cause they're tooo spamable, removing 1 enchanment per spell att?? Kinda nuts) 1 min is basically all the time u need to kill either monsters surrounding a boss in pve (the monks will look after u) or the boss itself in pve. In pvp, after gettin hit a few times by assasins and warriors, they no longer bother me because they cant get my health down, I heal 50 health per SPELL, they hit me at most 80, in general, with vital boon, dwayna or other avatars are pretty effective

ps: dwayna only cause 5 energy to cast, balthazar cost 10
