Thirsty River Solo Build For A W/MO
hi, im a W/MO trying to solo thirsty river and i can get past first boss easy. second bosses not so easy and third bosses easy peasy, the trouble im have is the second part. my strategy is to mix the groups and rish elementalist boss, that parts easy, but rushing the necro boss is hard. the necro hurts more than all my healing spells can contain.
the build i use is
|sever artery | gash | standing slash | silverwing slash | Dolyak signet | healing breeze| healing hands| mending|
and alternate build i play around with to see if itll work is
|sever artery | gash | balthazar spirit | silverwing slash | Dolyak signet | healing breeze| healing hands| mending|
but still no success
please give me a build that will kick some necro ass

You'll notice that around here, people are very quick to put down Breeze+Mending on a warrior, no matter where they are being used.
There is a reason for that, that being that they both really suck. Healing Signet is better than breeze, although you may want to consider packing a defensive stance here. Armor stacking alone isn't going to help when a horde of archers have Order of the Vampire on them. If you really insist on using a healing prayers spell, Vigorous Spirit is the way to go--not mending.
You're going to want to drop an attack for Mending Touch for starters, as the archers will stop you in your tracks with Throw Dirt otherwise. Also, interrupts are key. So much that I'd actually suggest going with axes for Disrupting Chop. It can be difficult to use, but the 20s disable will be a godsend vs the monk boss.
I don't think you can do 100% solo without a condition removal and a good interrupt. Balth's Spirit I think is a waste of a slot, and skill slots are indeed very limited here. With a zealous weapon you can easily power your attacks.

you sound very xperienced but you sort of have to have mending because without it your health drains dramatically. the rest sounds pretty good. ill try it out and see if it works, if it doesnt ill be back in a flash to tell you what my new build is that didnt work.
i was thinking along the lines of
|bleeding| hurt| disrupt+hurt| mending touch|mending| dolyak| healinghands or lifesheath (reuse over and over)| vigorous spirit|
oor replace vig with healing sig
NOTE: sorry about second reply it was taking a relly long time to load so i clicked it twice

For thirsty, unless I'm using some sort of an IWAY setup, I use a low power mending and watchful spirit together, it pretty much negates the degen you get. I spam Healsig against the necro boss, and keep up Dolyak signet and Watch Yourself.
And then spam Eviscerate/Executioner's, with Disrupting Chop. Cleave is not a bad idea here too.

kit i see what you are saying but with a warrior you only have 2 energy regen and since watchful spirit and mending together is -2 energy regen then how do you get energy? can you tell me your full build please. i tried executioners strike and penetrating blow but they dont hurt that well with 13 axe mastery because when i used to try it with my sword it took first part about um about 2 and a half minute - 3 minutes with those 2 axe it took 6 minutes and a half and all i used with my sword was sever artery and gash.

Actually, I used only Watchful Spirit when I did it, altough at that time, Vigorus Spirt wasn't buffed to what it is today. Mending is quite simply a waste of atribute points, Vig Spirit, or Live Vicariously both heal more HP/S than mending. I primarly used the enchant to power a -2/-2 damage reduction shield.
Unless you need more healing on top of Live Vicariously, mending is a total waste. Even then, Vigorus Spirit, or Healing Signet (I used Healsig) is better. I actually wouldn't put any points at all into healing prayers.

Well, what skills do I have besides mending and watchful that use energy? Just stick'em on and forget your energy.

ahg darn it i still got stuck on same spot but got a little closer. i used the build
executioners||||cleave||||disruptingchop||||watchy ourself||||dolyak||||healing signet|||watchful spirit||||mending|||
healing prayers 4
strength 9 + 3 + 1 = 13
Axe 12 + 3 = 15
tactics 6 + 3 = 9
and at necro boss i spammed what u said and i still died and you know what i saw? order of the vampire used on me 12 times. i think we know y but i cant find a counter survival for it.

Loose mending. That frees up 4 atributes. Also, I'd use a +1 axe helm, not str. You free up a few atributes that way. Also consider droping to 14 axe mastery, and adding even more to tactics. This will let you pack a decent block stance, which will help vs OoV.

you shouldn't be tanking...first group you would kill, second group you can aggro them into eachother...alot of runners use the IWAY build but it's kind of slow.

ok well what do you mean i shouldnt be tanking? all i do is charge in there and aggro both elementalist groups then cripple my way into both necro groups and sort like walk in a circle and rush it up ele's butt. then if i have enough time i charge into necro priest if i dont have enoguh time i wait for rez a nd pull them into reamaining ele peolpe and charge necro boss but thats where i get pwned.
this is probably wrong place to ask this but can anyone sell my some steel ignots? my dervish is running around without a pance because i put a rune on his starter armor on accident so i had to salvage the armor and i only have 2 ignots i need 6 more or more

there has got to me something im doing wrong.before i changed to all this stuff. with my first build, i would BARELY get hurt at all until necro part. with my new build exaceutioners cleave disruptingchop dfensivestance dolyak healingsig and watchfulspirit with 14 axe 13 strength and 13 tactics and with MAX armor i get destroyed at the first part. i still live through it but i keep having to spam healing signet. and when i kill everyone time is SIX MINUTES! its usually THREE with my sword. It seems with all this new stuff im getting worse and worse. WHAT IS GOING ON!

lol, it's a good idea to listen to experienced players.
[skill]Orison of Healing[/skill] [skill]Mending[/skill]
Since Mending is commonly used at 8 Healing, let's start from there.....Orison heals for 47hp. Mending would take 7-8 seconds to heal for that much.
Orison has a 1 sec casttime, a 2 sec recharge, and costs 5 energy
Mending has a 2 sec casttime, a 2 sec recharge, but costs 10 energy + 1 pip of energy. After Mending has been up long enough to heal for 47hp, the loss of that pip of energy would also make you lose about 2 energy. So it would cost 12 energy to heal for 47hp.
Obviously Mending sucks, and Orison of Healing (which also sucks on a wammo) is better than it. Strangely, Mending is still popular on many pve warriors.....this is why warriors have a horrible rep
