N/Me Solo Boss Farm
EDIT: Feb 19, 2007 with 3 new bosses and more pictures.
Well I feel kind of bad for posting that exhaustion build. Especially since most of you obviously don't share my type of humor, so I feel the need to redeem myself a little.
I really don't use this build anymore because the greens have dropped in value, but it gets the job done and they are good for heros. Also there are other bosses in Nightfall I am sure this build would work on but I have yet to really go out and test as I got tired of testing it on a lot of the bosses in Factions. That being said I am also sure there are other bosses in Factions, which are not listed below, that it will work on. I am just to lazy to actually go to every boss in the game and try it on them or I have yet to figure out a safe route to them.
Profession: N/Me (might have to be a 55/SS for a few bosses)
Name: Redemption I guess lol (again humor)
Type: PvE
Category: Solo Boss Farmer
Attributes:
Curses: 16
Domination Magic: 8
Inspiration: 10
Armor and Weapons:
Armor really doesn't matter because you won't get hit a lot and you will have enough energy so normal max will do. Stonereaper works best for me and bring a longbow to pull.
Skils:
Physical Resistence
Spiteful Spirit [E]
Reckless Haste
Price of Failure
Spirit of Failure
Backfire
Spirit Shackles
Ether Feast
Alternate Skills:
Aracane Echo subsitution with Backfire
Insidieous Parasite subsitution with Backfire
Summary:
You are going to be taking advantage of the monster AI. This build will not work on warriors, most sins, and dervishes (I haven't really tried on them but I imagine it wouldn't) because they will charge you. All other classes are ranged and they are fair game assuming you can get to them, get them alone, or the other monsters are ranged in there group. Eles and Mesmers will probably take to this build quickly.
If you have a wall or corner between you and the monster you are attacking they will not come around the corner as long as they are touching your aggro bubble. So, they will hit you with only spells and not attacks. Warriors, sins, and dervishes obviously will round the corner, which is why the build does not work on them. The build takes advantage of them constantly missing to do damage and provide you with a ton of energy.
For casters or healers like Monks, Rits, and Rangers (troll ungent) you are going to drain their energy with Spirit Shackles to prevent their healing and make them attack and miss you. Backfire is used to kill casters faster. Physical Resistence is for the few melee creatures that you do fight. If you have questions about the build just post a reply I will try to answer to the best of my ability.
Notes & Concerns: Don't be out in the open, warriors and sins (throw wallows in there or anything that charges you), eles with churning earth or fire damage, knockdowns are annoying but not a big concern, and not keeping spirit shackles on monks, rits, and rangers to drain their energy and prevent healing.
Farmable Factions Bosses: (UPDATED WITH PICTURES, more to come)
Craw Stoneweaver: (Easy) If you are luxon just run up to the first group on the left and die you will spawn away from portal and can run right to boss. If you are kurzick you will have to get past the first group. On the left side of the wall there is a little outing that you can pull and run to where you wont get hit by arrows but the warriors will come to you. Physical, SS, Reckless, and Ether Feast will keep you alive. Spam SS on all warriors if more then one. Takes about 2 minutes to farm.
Zarnas Stonewrath: (Easy) Takes about 2-3 minutes if you get hit with gail. Backfire and SS should be all you have to cast.
Meril Stoneweaver: (Medium) Keep spirit shackles on him to drain energy then he will die easy. Takes about 3-4 minutes.
Ryver Mossplanter: (Hard) Need to be a 55/SS (you can switch out of the armor and remove enchantments to not waste energy once melee and earth ele creatures are dead), can be a difficult run to side pillar, and takes a about 5+ minutes to kill depending upon skill.
The Pain Eater: (Easy) Pull undergrowth with bow, kill them, let bodies disappear before pulling karin. Pull Rit with bow and run back to the little forest area. Takes about 2-4 minutes to kill boss.
The Skill Eater: (Easy) Same as The Pain Eater
Chkkr Thousand Tail: (Easy) Treat him like a monk or rit and keep spirit shackles on him to prevent troll ungent. Takes about 2-4 minutes.
Chkkr Brightclaw: (Easy) Pull him with a bow down to base of stairs but dont attack. Wait for patrol and let patrol aggro him. Cast backfire on the dragon moss and run away (Coming back to put SS on dragon moss). He will kill them. Then let him run back and pull him with bow and kill him. Takes about 2-3 minutes.
Chkkr Locust Lord: (Medium) Pull him with a bow when no patrol is near him. Run away and have physical resistence up Already. Cast Reckless on him first, then SS, then Price of Failure, and Finally Spirit of Failure. Use Ether Feast to heal you and keep Reckless on him to prevent damage from him. Takes about 1-2 minutes. No wall here just reckless missing you.
Byzzr Windmender: (Easy) Usual build takes about 1-2 minutes
Salke Fur Friend: (Hard) Requires 55/SS treat like Ryver Mossplanter. Although he drops no green, so for future reference in case he ever does.
The Scar Eater: (Medium) Wierd pull from bottom of the ledge. When you aggro make sure you aggro only him. The Scar Eater and the Dragon moss should stay up top and the dragon moss will not be able to cast spells on you (I really don't know why that is but it is). The undergrowth and Karin come down so kill them then start on The Scar Eater. Keep Spirit Shackles on him. If things go bad and they all charge just run back to the shrine and around the corner. The dragon moss will probably attack the kurzick warriors and you can still kill him. Takes about 3-5 minutes.
Flower Spiritgarden: (Easy) Just stay on ramp and wait for him to come in aggro circle then move down a little and he will go behind that rock at the top. Treat like a monk and keep Spirit Shackles up. Takes about 2-4 minutes.
Shattersone: (Very difficult) Never been able to kill him but I have brought his health down very low and believe he can be killed with this build. The pull is the hard part because of the two groups, the Oni, and the dragon moss at the top but I am sure someone else will be able to do it. If not post a reply in this thread saying it can't be done.
Razortongue Frothspit: (Medium) Need some Luxon faction so monk will heal you. Pull the group back to the corner. Kill the creeps while the boss stays on the corner. The luxon monk should heal you while you cast SS on them. Then kill the boss. If you have to much luxon faction the warriors may come to help. I can't really say whether or not they wills steal the drop so I just try and avoid their help all together. Takes about 1-2 minutes to kill boss.
Arrahhsh Mountainclub: (Hard) This is a weird boss mainly becuase of the long pull and the two groups before him. Have to use nearby hills to kill yetis. There really isn't a spot to prevent you from getting hit by the other 2 yetis in the group with boss. I had to pull him all the way back to the top inorder to find a safe spot. Occasionally you can get it so the 2 yetis will stay on the ramp. (also a side note I did not use my 7 skill slot so put in whatever you need there to speed up farm).
Xuekao, The Deceptive: (Easy) Going there the warriors are easy to Jade Brotherhood warriors are easy to kill. Just put up Physical Resistence, Spiteful Spirit, and Insideous Parasite to kill them. Then use the pillars as cover to kill the Marksmen pop ups. Then set off the Jade Brotherhood to attack Xuekao. Let them fight (speed up by putting Spirit Shackles on rits and Spiteful. When they all are dead just treat him like Chkkr Locust Lord and he goes down easy.
Reefclaw Ragebound: (Medium) Run in with Physical Resistence already up. Throw Reckless Haste and Insidious Parasite on him first. Then Spirit of Failure on him. I find it easier to keep the energy and health flowing rather then the damage to start as if you get interrupted early it is easier to recover then later when you need it. If you get interrupted like I did it makes it hard but still possible.
Chehbaba Roottripper: (Easy) Just pull and hide. Take Arcane Echo on this run. Takes about 1-2 minutes to kill boss.
Tomton Spirit Eater: (Medium) Can be difficult depending upon spawn and how many warrior yetis rush you. wait for wallow patrol to pass before attempting. Just to note the wallows also fight the yeti so if you aggro them you might as well run in and run out and they should fight each other. Of couse you will cast SS on the wallows to determine the winner. When you get the boss alone takes about 2-3 minutes.
Stsou Swiftscale: (Medium) Not hard by any means just takes a long time to kill off all the rangers. Keep Spirit Shackles on him. Also use the rock cropping that is away from the water. Might have to post a picture for this one. Take arcane echo to speed up farm. Takes about 2-4 minutes.
Bahnba Shockfoot: (Medium) Kind of Tricky. Kill off the outcast attackign the luxons when you arrive so they dont aggro you later. He is a pain because he doesn't like to come close to the ledge. Also cast SS and then run behind the rock becuase he will use Churning Earth which will kill you pretty quick. This is kind of like run in; cast once, let him do his spells while you run away, and when they are done run back against the ledge to cast the rest of them. Takes about 3-5 minutes.
Lukrker Foulfist: (Medium) Sometimes he likes to charge you while othertimes he won't. Just depends on what he does. Takes about 2-4 minutes.
Cultist Milthuran: (Medium) Again have to have some Luxon faction so monk will heal you. Aggro then run back so the monk is just touching your aggro circle. Kill off warriors and sins before the boss or else it makes it really hard. Takes about 3-5 minutes.
Whispering Riual Lord: (Medium) Not a hard kill but a hard pull. You need a longbow to pull him from the bridge when he comes by in his patrol. Keep shooting him while he casts his spirits and then he will run to the stairs. Just make sure he is in the middle of the stairs when your aggro bubble touches him so he stays there. He won't be able to hit you then. Just be careful of Saltspray Dragons as they will end your run quickly. Takes about 1-2 minutes.
Farmable Nightfall Bosses: (later I might post pictures of where to stand for each boss if I get around to it)
Sergeant Behnwa: (Medium) Put Insidieous on any tanks that rush you and put spirit shackles and Spirit of Failure on the Priest in the group. Kill the priest first and then everyone else until only the bosses is left. The bosses is an easy farm if you can kill off the group with him.
Zelnehlun Fastfoot: (Easy) I just set off the ambush and die. Then I come back and he is an easy kill and you get lots of loot from all the other rangers with him.
All add more as soon as I get my character farther in Factions and Nightfall.
