Default 55/famine in foundry - die a lot

I tried 55/famine with someone for first time today in foundry, kept dying, but was told it was ok to duo.

sb, prot, breeze, av, sv, essence, balths, blessed

(ranger got mending, succor on me)

it was like i was getting stripped. Is it simply that the mobs strip or attack too hard? the problem seemed to be the regen couldn't keep up with damage!!

I'm sure it's an easy answer
