Here's my prediction (this is prenerfdom of coarse), a group of Ranger/Ritualists. The R/Rt all cast nightmare weapon and then barrage. I don't think it will replace order necros at all, but definitely a big addition to the barrage team. I think that is enough said.

I was wondering if you could use any added effects skills with barrage (eg. apply poison, Kindle/Ignite Arrows)---Zammy

I doubt Nightmare Weapon will be the Weapon Spell of choice. People tried Splinter Weapon (which has the same wording as Nightmare Weapon) and found it only triggered on the arrow that hit your target, not any of the other arrows. Nightmare Weapon will be bigger in spike builds. Splinter Weapon (and maybe Brutal Weapon) are more in line with the concept of Barrage.

All the skills you list there are preparations. Barrage removes all preparations before firing the attack, so no, those will not work. Weapon Spells from the Ritualist work fine with it, as do enchantments like Judge's Insight.

Ok ty bro I wasnt exactly sure what the preparations were
Its too bad i dont have Factions yet =( I didn't pre-order it so I have to buy it.

Also, you can get Barrage from a RoF (Ring of Fire) boss if you had'nt gotten to Markis yet. The boss' name is Snyk The Hundred Tounge in the Ring of Fire mission

Does anyone know if Barrage is cappable in Cantha? And if so, anyone know from which boss/area?

Thanks.

You can get it from Aurora, the 2nd group of enemies in the 'Boreas Seabed' mission. Very simple to get.

Yea, a boss in the mission you do n the Luxon Side, to get the Spear of whosit has this, simply start the mission, kill the first mob that enters. Then the ranger boss of the second mob uses Barrage. I forget his name, and the location name, lol.

i fought a Barrage based team it was awesome pwned 4 people in like 2 secs.
We were in HA i think in king of the hill, when we were coming to the altar and bam! 4 people went down. turned out they were all using barrage with a order necro and some other damage +. anyway it owned. So if your good, barrage could work in PvP.

Ok old thread but this bears mentioning now. If they make the changes that they made in the test weekend then Splinter weapon and Nightmare weapon might be a viable barrage coupling. They had it set to where it worked on the next 5 attacks which would probably make it trigger on 5 out of 6 arrows in barrage which is more than enough for a good splinter weapon/barrage build.

The changes stuck at least through the second test weekend. Splinter barrage is very viable in PvE. I'm honestly thinking about trying to put N/Rt into a B/P group, with orders and SW, to see how it runs.
