Farming Build Sucess/Help
*Beginner to Farming*
I'm trying to farm vermins and stone scale kirin
I dont have a problem farming stone scale kirin
but vermin are giving me trouble as their degen and kd's give me to little time to attack.
Anyways i'm an Rt/D and this is the build im using (which im proud to say, i invented and can solo farm stone scale kirin easily)
[wiki]Splinter Weapon[/wiki][wiki]Ancestor's Rage[/wiki][wiki]Veil of Thorns[/wiki][wiki]Armor of Sanctity[/wiki][wiki]Mystic Regeneration[/wiki][wiki]Vital Boon[/wiki][wiki]Conviction[/wiki]
Any Enchant in 8th slot for 3 more Health Regen to combat Kirin's disease (i used [wiki]Spirit's Gift[/wiki] since it was a 60 sec un attribute linked skill i had unlocked previously.
notice no elite yet...
For Vermins i tried bringing [wiki]fleeting stability[/wiki], but it took so much energy to maintain so many enchants i barely had energy to start attacking.. although i got close to succesful, the vermins were at about 25% health and i died b.c of degen and no energy to keep up my defenses.
Anyways any ideas on how to beat the vermins?
I was thinking of getting [wiki]Ebon Dust Aura[/wiki] + some sort of enchant that would modify my weapon to earth damage such as [wiki]Dust Cloak[/wiki] (since im using zealous), it would help against both vermin and stone scale kirins.
In addition, blinding the vermin would disable their ability to hit me with [wiki]Jagged Strike[/wiki] and there for unable to follow up with [wiki]entangling Asp[/wiki]

It looks good, as far as I can tell. I do not know much about Rits or dervishes though. Does zealous trigger on splinter weapon?

Great thought. I never thought of using an Rt/D to farm. I will try to test this out on my first oppurtunity, but it looks good.

your choose of farming build is kinda strange for me cause you aren't utilizing your primary profession unique attribute at all. Its up to you, but if you want to counter vermins degen - try Resilient Weapon or Weapon of Warding (keep in mind that you cant have 2 weapon spells on you simultaneously). Its hard to counter kd in your case - only skill u have available is Fleeting Stability. So its should be your choose or you cant put any spells on you during a battle.
Main problem you will face is energy burden - so take Spirit Chanelling and put some points to Spawning Power.
At this point you spreaded quite a lot - u need spawning power for energy management, restoration to counter vermins degen and earth prayers for fleeting stability. Now choose damage skills from Earth paryers line and u can be a bit successfull with vermins.
PS keed in mind that there is no universal farming build - you should tune up your current build to counter each farming location foes

The most common and effective Rt primary farming build out there uses 0 spawning (being the VwK variants.....Rt/r / Rt/Me). Your Spirit channeling idea sounds interesting enough though.
I'm just saying, that especially on a Rt, 0 primary att. points definately isn't an instant negative. Plenty of effective builds do without it entirely.

U know, for vwk farming you dont need to be rit primary - W/Rit farming is more simple and common in this case. As for me - reason to choose primary profession is to utilize primary attribute and runes.
Being rit just for 2 rit spells (no doubt splinter weapon is good -im using it on my ranger, but i dont feel huge difference with 12 and 16 in that case - main advantage is put full splinter spike every 5 secs, but not to spread it over time). So if you want to farm with dervish skills - make dervish.
Better option to farm as rit is VwK or Spirits.
Yes, 0 in spawning power isnt totaly negative, but in that case u dont need to be rit primary - you can use another primary profession with higher armor and get advantage from another primary and runes. So if you want to be a melee farmer - get D or W as primary but not rit who have 60 max armor and cannot negate well melee damage

This build could really flop either way. But i think the real underlying reason that he chose Rt/D over D/Rt is because hes in senji's corner (factions). If someone (centur) wants to try the build at D/Rt and post back, It would be more than helpful.

i'm sure this build would work as D/RT since neither skills require primary attributes and still works fine.
this would probably be much easier as a derv because you would even need splinter weapon, and could use scythe attacks that also heal such as [wiki]victorious sweep[/wiki] or [wiki]reap impurities[/wiki], combine with mysticism for energy and a skill like [wiki]mystic vigor[/wiki] to continue healing.
energy is a slight problem but i can handle with a zealous scythe since i just swing once or twice b4 i really need to use anything.
splinter weapon is actually quite good for mobs.
i only use ancestor rage to finish off or get rid of those vampiric horrors.
my channeling is only @ 12 (haven't bought a channeling hat/rune), earth prayer @ 12, here are some screenies of me farming the kirin:
attacking damage (41 dmg @ 12 channeling):
dead kirin:
