R/W solo UW,minos,drakes,griffons farming
Well I managed to create this build, after being impressed by ViMWay teams in HoH.I dont really like PvP in Guild wars but I absolutely love the PvE part.So now the build.I tested it on Elonas reach and managed to kill 8! minotaurs damn quick!Im absolutely sure that it would work for UW soloing. Now this build wasn't posted before...I checked, I agree its a modification on ViMWay build but still a worthy and original modification...So I dont want to start flame wars in this thread just a little bit of thankfullness would be enough.
so the Attr.Points
Profession Ranger/Warrior
WS 16(sup.Rune)
EXp 14(sup.Rune)
Tact 6
Weapon-The Handsmasher .It has to have at least !!!15!!! Energy on it, otherwise it wont work.
Armor-Druids
Skillset
Barbed Trap
Dust Trap
Flame Trap
QZ
ViM
Whirling Defence
Dryders Defences
Lightning Reflexes
Now the main thing about the build is to keep the QZ the most time possible, it stays up for 47 sec. with 16 in WS so you ll have to rely on WD or LR during those 13 sec when its recharging.
Now aggro the most mobs possible(dont forget to set QZ before you go in) and start setting with DT, then BT, then FT and so on.It has to be in such order because the AoE dmg from DT and FT throw away the enemies for few sec. giving you a small break.Well if everything goes well you should be able to kill all 8 Minos pretty easily,Dont forget to practise-you ll most probably die first time if you aggro 8 minos, start with 2, then go up to 4 then 6 and then try it on 8.I m posting the Vidoe of this build very soon, and Im testing the famous griffon farming currently.
Use ViM when your a low on Health or Energy
now the video...enjoy
its a bit strange camera view, but for those who ll accuse me off cheating look at the Xp number i get and you ll see that im alone...
also this has 7 minos in it-count the 100xp thingys...

-Garumn
Just tested it on the drakes-8+over without breaking sweat...gonna post the video of griffon farming soon.I have to sayt taht I dont like farming drakes with it because it just take too mcuh time to group the drakes with minos its easier, in Elona they attack you in the 8er group.

I tried something similar with my good old R/W some 3 months ago, but most I ever got was 3 minos (didn't have ViM). If it works, you'll be my hero

I came, I saw, I bought Handsmasher for 14k.
20 minutes later, the fine mimotaur population of Elona Reach was but a fond memory.
This will certainly be interesting to mess with Although you're pretty much screwed if an incoming patrol misses your dust trap when you're already engaged. Maybe try to stick Throw Dirt in there somewhere?

I dumped Dryaders for Throw Dirt and tried a Griffon Run. Although effect was tragic:
I think this may work. They killed me mostly because I didn't lure enough and new ways kept coming while I was dealing with the last one (I survived them interrupting one dust trap thanks to ViM/Whirling), but when they interrupted the second one, I was untimely demised.
Prior to that, I killed 3 griffons easily. Too bad I won't have time to test this more for the next few days, I'm quite sure it will work.

I tried UW today, and the results are interesting.Well It works once in 3 times. It pretty much depends on your luck with aaxtes, and if you get past the aaxtes, afterwards the Smites and Squids are an easy job(get yourself a Prot.Monk for constant success).Im not going to pursue Uw farming as it just seems a bit too risky with 3 to 1 success ratio.
But the minos and griffons work awesomely for me-an advice with griffons, dont aggro more than 8(as I see on the screen you aggroed at least 10-even Wa/Mos fail against 10 griffs) and by changing dryders on throw dirt you pretty much screwed up the build:P (no offence meant offcourse .You see I put DD in because you need it for constant protection, and Throw dirt gives you only half circle protection which is not enough for trap setting, and well by failing to set dust trap 2ce in the row you are pretty much dead, doesnt matter if its griffs or minos.

Yeah, TD was experimantal - works for smaller mobs. Large aggro was, as I said, my mistake

Isn't it easier to use the old oath shot build?

One thing you got wrong is that W/Mo only take on less than 10 Griffs/Mino's.
Wrong, Ive taken on around 20 at one time. Apparently some people have taken on around 40.
You just gotta get your timing right.
Make a mistake mind and your fodder.

You could pick off the attaxes in UW solo with just a high dmg ranger build, you aggro, then get into the safe zone between the 2 ghosts, so basically the attaxes just sit there while you shove arrows into them, i think you can lure all attaxes to this point, il give it a go with my ranger later.

Wasnt aware that there was 40 out there 0_o
And if there was they couldnt all attack at once, infact, i dont think 20 can, i use my monk for that run, and the most attacking at once i get is about 9-10, the rest just wait til a gap emerges.
