i'd say there is no conjure earth because it can't be used in team combo's like the others such as S shviers, cold weapon + conjure frost or thunderclap + conjure lighting etc, the others have skills in the same attribute or from other proffessions (in the case of spinal shivers) that have effects when dmg of the att is dealt.

anyone using spinal shivers to interrupt for example cuts down on the dmg they deal, if they use a conjure however, they deal moderate dmg as well as the added effect of interrupt, knowckdown or burning, so earth currently isn't realy needed.

conjure earth doesnt make sence
Frost--freezing
lightning-shock damaga
fire-burning
rock--????????? dirt damage??
im not saying conjure earth would be bad. if they came out with it, i might acutally use it too. it just doesnt make too much sence

im not saying they should'nt add it, what they should to is make earth dmg more prominent, so ebon weapons can trigger other skills, i have already seen the amount of earth dmg assasins deal, so it would be nice to see a skill with an earth trigger, such as everytimer a foe is dealt earth dmg they....well i can't think of anything that the others dont cover yet (knockdown, interrupt, prolonged burning)

Although knockdown should have been earth to start with, and have the air to concentrate on the bounced dmg, such as 2whenever target foe takes lightning dmg, deal X dmg to another foe in the area) XD

The reason why there is no Conjure Earth is because it would be pointless in conjuction with the rest of the skills provided in game.

I belive there is a skill that triggers when someone is struck for air damage, not to mention it has armor penetration. Fire damage (Fiery Dragon Swords even) can be used to trigger something like Mark of Rodgort to set them on fire. Water damage can help in conjunction with other skills such as Spinal Shivers.

Earth doesn't work together with any other attribute out of the game, let alone its own; in terms of combination, that is.

Hi

However the conjure spells ar enot designed to trigger something, they are designed to BE triggered, if you notice that whether having a conjure splee on you or nto wont make a difference to whether these skills are activated, so its not that reason. I personally dont know why earht as been left out (ut then it could be because its supposed to be defensive rather than offfensive, but then how come we get obs flame?)

At least there is Obs Flame... by far, probably the best EM spell. On the flip side, EM is an awesome defense magic line. Nice on the PBAoEs, too.
Obsidian flame isnt that good, and earth does have a use. Arnt those killer creatues down UW weak to earth? in addition many of the new assassin skills do earth dmg. What is being said is 'Why is earth the only one without conjure' and your answer is 'Because its not needed'. Its not needed becuase its not used, and its not used cos it isnt there.

I never seid they are designed to trigger, what i mean is they give a means of using a trigger, such as an air ele attaking a thunderclapped foe, by doing so the ele forfits dealing dmg as if they used all their air skill they'd have no energy left, but with conjure on, they deal decent dmg as well as the mass knockdown, and its faster/less energy consuming, there for more efficient ot attack with the wand/staff than cast spell

However earth does not have such trigger's as its all about armor, be it gaining or ignoring.

it would be cool if they made an earth conjure that dealt armor ignoring dmg, but would be over powered and would lean earth more offensei than ever before.....all you'd see would be W/E's using ebon weapons, conjure and armor boosts.....scary

If the new assassin skillz are using earth as dmg. then shouldnt there be a 'Conjure Earth' to give them a little more dps?

I will pretend that the "obsidian flame is not that good" post never existed, and I would highly suggest the arthor of that post to delete it before other people flame him to hell.

...you have been warned.

Is there anything that makes Conjure Flame any less pointless than a proposed conjure earth?

Out of all the conjures, an earth type would be the only one I'd consider using; it would speed up some of my farming alot

I would so use this on a warrior/ele build, armor of earth and conjure earth would be a massive tank that could deal damage as well, come to think of it, this may be the reason we dont have this spell in game

this question has been around since the game came out -_-

i personally think it would be overpowered on something like a dervish, stoneflesh armor, conjure earth, ebon dust aura... that would be the skill lineup from now on for dervs... i just think they did it because a warrior or ranger (talking about when the game first came out) could easily toss conjure earth up and also have amazing amounts of defensive skills including ward against melee and other buffs...

since when does anet follow physics and for that matter ... dirt conjuring laws >_>

for the earth mind spell, theres nothing left for earth to do... air already KDs... unless you wanted a 30 sec weakness or something...

ps - shock arrow has a recharge, thus not a flare substitute...

pss - obsidian flame... one of the best spells ever. (fact)
