Ok so I have about 4 areas i like to farm with my ele, UW, FoW (sometimes), SF(rarely), Deadsword place. The thing is my drop rates in all of them are complete rubbish now, in UW i never get ectos or a chest in SF i only get 2 items per chest, in Deadsowrd place i never get a gold and rarely a blue, FoW is still ok but thats cos im rubbish at farming there and only every kill about 10 or so things b4 i mess up.

sooo to get to the point to improve your drop rates again do you have to do missions because i was told that if you just change your farming area they should reset but this has definately not happened with me.

If its just that i dont have enough farm areas does any 1 have some good areas to solo as an ele?

there are some troll and vermin speed farming builds around here, and minotaurs might be possible aswell.

I, too, was going to post this... I have noticed completely terrible drops for me lately, NOTHING good..

Here's my story..

I have been doing tombs lately, on my ranger, and I usually get good drops from chests.. Lately, after opening about 11 chests or so, I have gotten nothing but purple drops, and 2 golds which were storm artifacts and a truncheon (or something wand-like)... Is it just me?? I have been going to many spots, and even in group farm I never get ectos, I never get golds, in tombs I have gotten no greens, and when i did it was illayna's staff, and once a wenslaus faith..

So, I have been farming other places as well with zip for drops..

Can anyone give tips on improving drops?? I know about the stupid "farm code" so please don't say that, I haven't been getting the farm code..

I might try doing a mission some time soon..

Well I allways get crap, from the first moment I've played GW till now on, without overfarming area's. If I wanted a greeny, most times took up to 20 or more tries and the only good thing I get from chestrunning is the title... The only posive thing I got is a drop rate of 1 ecto each UW run on average.

I'm probably born unlucky, maybe yours is dissapearing aswell...

If you repeatedly farm in the same area; in other words exit town, run 100 mtr to x number of foes and kill, map back to town and repeat, you will get nerfed.

This is called the anit-farm code and it can be removed by doing missions, lower missions remove less 'antifarm' and endgame-like missions remove big portions. There was an article once about how much these portions actually were, but I suggest looking it up on wiki or something.

Plus, some people are just unlucky...

Ok well I think I must have got nerfed then, I made up a build that i can use to solo quite a few bosses in nightfall, killed some bosses in the torment area about 10-15 times no green no gold items

(never farmed there b4 as well) then i farmed one of them djin fire bosses ... no green after 5 kills then I killed some ranger bug boss nothing

,

The thing is i have even done missions a bit around 3 medium ones and it didnt seem to change anything.

Any way so the only way to get rid of this is to do missions? I guess quests wont do as farming completly new areas dosent seem to work. Damn this game why are they so mean to me.

Completly off topic is there an ele build that can take on Acolyte of Dwayna solo the best build i made got it down to about 1/3 health (after clearing all other mobs with hench and then sending them off)

About this anit-farm code its just a myth that you see the code in blue isnt it, cos ive never seen it and i cant imagine worse drops than what im getting

I killed korr again and got his focus 1st time woo so thats about 1 green in 40 or so kills but im still happy dont even know if this thing is worth anything but i dont care :P

Well, I think maybe if you just don't farm for a few days just MAYBE the drops will come back? I asked my friend what he did once he got an anti farm code, he said he just didn't farm there for about 3-4 days..

But, even when I wasn't doing the zone farming, my drops have sucked...

Best tip I can give you is.. Switch Characters. I've found that doing a Rt/Me UW farm around 3-4 times then switching to my paragon to solo shards in FoW maximizes my output of items. I could be mistaken, but for me this has worked very well.

No one is really certain how the anti-farming code reacts to missions, switching characters, etc. there are some threads about this if you search. The most common answers are:

-stop farming the area when you notice drop starting to become more common (ex. instead of getting random drops you start getting 5000 (exagerated number) of say piles of bones).

-Zone to another city and go do some quests/missions (as you have heard)

-Go farm someplace else.

Chests in tombs are abnormally bad lately i noticed, my group of 8 had 7/8 get a purple phantasm armor remnant. My advice to you is to farm on a different character

I think your right actually I remember when i started farming with my ele i would only do a few runs in UW then change chars to continue the game and i nearly always got 1 ecto and 1 chest, but now all my chars have got to where i wanted them and i dont really like farming with anything but my ele, cos ele rules all for farming.

i have absolutely crappy luck farming anywhere, i never get anything of real value. best i've had is a 5 shard run off FoW (barely find a chest down in forest and i usually get one ecto if i'm lucky. the 5 shard run was a omfg miracle run lol). oh and i got a ruby ONCE off stone scale before dragon moss got put in, but unfortunately i got it after i finished my vabbian. anyways i've settled to farming quantitiy and not quality and doing speed farms, not making 50k a day but im still paying off for the armor sets i want so i guess i'm alright =]

Wow thanks so much for this tidbit of NEW news... None of us have EVER heard about this. You sir are a genius. Lets all now improve all of our drops with this amazing information.

I havent had a shard, ecto or green drop in 2 weeks now... Most shards ive ever had in a run was 1 anyway... Same with ectos... Never really was bothered with how crap my drop rate was until i started getting nothing decent at all... Used to get 1 ecto every 2-3 runs and was happy with that...Tried farming on 5 different charectors and did 17 missions to try and get rid of "anti-farm" but nothing changed...And with the Pong Mei nerf im broke... But then again ive never had any luck on any game i play...
