I think I'm right in saying that if you use Mark of Rodgort then GG, you get the energy bonus from GG even without using an intermediate spell to trigger burning.
Might be wrong though  Anyhow, if you spec an archer hero as a fiery barrager, Mark of Rodgort becomes even more effective
