To me, Running chests is like playing scratch off lottery tickets. So much fun when something great drops! I am currently at about 2300 chests and If you know how to sell your items you will always come out on top. It is not profitable if you just run a few chests. Right now my favorite place to run is crystal overlook. I zone into tyria, zone back and repeat. Quick run, nice and easy. Decent gold drops. Ele swords are possible. Have fun!
