At one time I had some very weak builds that I thought were great and ingenious.

But then I started listening to the people here and taking their suggestions. I found that after following the good advice and thinking more strategically about how to reasonably achieve the goals set out for a build that my success improved dramatically. The people here can be harsh at times (especially when they see the same mistakes over and over), but if you carefully evaluate what they say you should also see improvement.

Risky, I know it can be discouraging to have people criticize your build and the first instinct is to get defensive (no pun intended), but the others are right--this build is just no good. Some of them could have been a bit more polite, but the advice they've given is mostly correct. Warriors are best trying to deal massive melee damage rather than using spells or tanking skills.

Don't get discouraged though. PvP takes a while to get good at, especially since you've been away from the game so long. Coming to GWG forums is a step in the right direction to improving. There are a lot of good (and a fair share of poor) players here to give you advice. Don't believe everything you hear, but try to learn from others' experience and you will be well on your way.

There are a number of good builds posted in this section of the forum. Browse around a bit for what weapon and PvP format you're interested in and I'm sure you'll find what you need.

For any characters regardless of your profession always remember that "a high offense is a good defense". Better to get enemies dead ASAP than to take punishment over a prolonged amount of time. Tanking just does not work in PvP due to the fact that you are facing human players not AI. And they can see what sort of enchantments/stances are on you before choosing to attack you. If you still do not understand, let me ask you, which of it will you be more frightened of; a porcupine or a rampaging rhino?

I should commend you RiskyTheChopper with the build. Its really really nice to see a fresh perspective from new comers on making weird ideas or combinations work. Sure the build is not suited for a warrior primary nor is it his/her role for it. But this is AB, the place where you can have fun with this. So to the OP, keep trying to come up with creative builds like this because who knows? Maybe some day you will hit the jackpot with a build that synergises well with the primary role of the class.

Because in the end thats what GW is all about. Making great creative builds and the first step is the most important one.
