Ward Against Harm
Create a Ward Against Harm at this location. For 8...18 seconds, non-Spirit allies in this area have 12...50 armor against fire damage and 12...22 armor against other damage.
basically... this skill IMO is easily the top water spell in the game (water trident is competing for first as well). Why does no one use it? it can grant 25 armor at higher levels and have someone bring greater conflagration...? it could practically double your armor then...
i see how some people could say that this spell is limiting, the 20 second recharge and the fact that nobody enjoys staying in one place during pvp. you can, although, keep it up the entire time, and it really isnt that much of a strain on your energy...
basically am i missing something about this spell, it looks perfect for gvgs... and you could have armor of mist and have a minirunner on your side as well?

Watch yourself isnt eliete, doesnt have a meaningful cost, and allows your team mates to move while providing almost the same protection over a greater effect range on application.

Well I use this on Zhed along with Ward AGainst Elements and GC on Olias. It is amazing protection but the problem is... it requires TWO elites and thus two players to coordinate... something no PuGs do..

Bringing Greater Conflagration, which is otherwise a shit skill (unless you're running some kind of weird gimmick), in order to make Ward against Harm better, is not exactly efficient.

people never pay attention to spirits, dont give them that much credit...
(can we learn what sarcasm is...)
to support my sarcasm i ALSO say you dont know what ward it is until you see the ele casting or if you take a leap and say since hes water hes using ward against harm...

I don't know about other people, but if I saw that a spirit was giving a team an extra ~50 armor, I'd kill it.

Ward against harm needs to be buffed on its normal armour increase before it becomes anything near usefull. Otherwise watch yourself/stand your ground are much better.

It's a fantastic skill vs Captain Nebo at the end of Pogahn Passage. The problem I have with wards is that humans never stand in it...

The only time this sees use is in ele ball teams in HA, which just bring it because they don't need their elite that badly, and they're standing in a pile of wards anyway.
If you're with a very weak team, it can be somewhat useful in hell's precipice, as the +63 bonus vs everything there can come in handy.
Otherwise, don't bother

[skill]Water Trident[/skill], [skill]Icy Shackles[/skill] and [skill]Mind Freeze[/skill] are better. Infact unless the skill was essential for success, i'd even take [skill]Expel Hexes[/skill], [skill]Shield of Regeneration[/skill], [skill]Light of Deliverance[/skill] for utility rather than this one!

Plz, How can anyone not say that Shatterstone isn't one of if not the best water elite. Besides mind freeze this is the only water skill i see anyone bring anymore, the shatterspike build is way fun to play, i mean who wouldn't use it? As to ward against harm, i believe it is just as useless as Wastrels Collapse due to most PVP being very active and never staying in the same spot and is very meteocre as an elite. SHATTERSTONE FTW! )^,_,^(

Shatterstone isn't too good outside of random PvP formats, as the hex gives the spike away. One prot spirit and you're screwed. It's mediocre to good in PvE, but it's a hell of a lot faster to AoE the shit out of stuff instead.
Ward against Harm is none too good... Provided you and your allies camp it, it's a mediocre armour buff. I'd much rather take Prodigy and spam HP to support my team, kthx.
Now Water Trident... That's more like it. Sure, it may not have big numbers like Shatterstone... but if you're playing Water, why the *red engine* are you worried about damage? Water's a utility line among eles, Air and Fire are for damage (and Earth too, to a certain degree).

Actually i run a pretty good shatterstone pve build. It has great defense and dmg, i can pretty much stay alive while the rest of the teams dead. Just saying that SS is pretty fun to play and i just <3 the double effect.

That's easy with no skills whatsoever. Learn to kite and you're already better at surviving that 99% of PuG-types.

Or it could be that the rest of his team is dead, due to in part by the bad builds involved.

Agreed with shatterstone is uber. It does more damage then air spike. Prot spirit may screw it, but prot spirit also screws air, so thats not a reason to not like it.
Ward against harm + greater conflag = waste of 2 elites.
Elly with Searing flames, and a para with they're on fire/stand your ground/watch yourself = too much more effective.

Ward Against Harm is basically one of those skills that comes in handy in certain PvE type situations rarely, but is pretty useless otherwise. Running GC with WAH on heroes can help on a few missions (as long as you are using mostly heroes and hench that will generally stay in one spot), but outside this use, there's really not much point to using this.
