Are you kidding? 1 mana gain every physical blow to a tank is alot faster way of gaining energy than doing 1 Energy Regen.

Can two different monks cast this on the same person and both get the energy bonus?

you could use my tactic essence bond+ blessed signet+ energy drain/channeling/mantra of recall (doesnt seem to be effective anymore after changes not sure how well it works) good energy keep up.

You cast four essence bonds including self. With Blessed Signet this gives you 12 energy every ten seconds. Add for example something like energy drain, channeling or mantra of recall for energy support. Plus keep in mind essence bond gives energy everytime targets get hit with physical damage this can be good or bad depending the situation.

Im unsure but I had heard that Life Bond still worked not sure unless they rechanged that again.

Because I use an offhand item that gives me +27 energy at the cost of a point of energy regen, I need another source of energy. I find essence bond works really well on tanks in PvE (since monsters target the highest/closest damage doers) and on monks in PvP (since we all know monks are first target). Used in combination with Blessed Sig (assuming you pay attention to cool-down), this combo is usually enough to last you through your average battles. Only downside is that since this is an enchantment, it is frequently removed. Make sure you pay attention to your enchantment maintenance bar.

If you are a W/Mo just use it against charrs, the more , the better
I don't think there are enough charrs on the map to kill you
( only the "Charr Mind Spark" can kill you by removing the skill )
and if you maintain also "balthazar spirit" you can maintain in total 6 enchantments easely if there is a huge army of charrs
( the army at the end of the great northen wall is lardge enough )

I tell you it feels great when you see a lvl 20 W/Mo dies in that mision
when you can stay a life easy

Balthazar spirit gives it only to the dude you cast that on. Thus casting it on a teammate will give him 1 energy and adrenalin, while essense bond gives it only to the caster. It works on elemental dmg as well (ele spells and wands, elemental hilts etc). Can be somewhat tricky to use, but if played well (and a bit lucky) it can give you neverending energy. One gvg battle I just stepped inside the npc archer fire and guess what...:P

they give both energy when you take damage
if you cast both spells on your own
I am not talking about casting those spells on a team mate
I just say , by using both spells you can have lots of energy
( look at the screenshot )

ps: purpel is energy you get ...

Changed what? I never really used Essence, but I use Balth with Life Bond and still get excellent energy regen when bonded allies get hit.

The clue was already posted above. Multiple copies of Essence Bond triggered for each caster.

For just yourself, Balthazar's Spirit is fine. However, with the old Essence Bond, anyone could cast it on you, and reap the rewards as well.
