Default energy for a healer?

Hi,i am decciding a weapon for my healing monk.I thought the scar eater(http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/The_Scar_Eater_%28Item%29) would be the best way to go.But then i would have a mana pool of only 42(judge 'n ascetic armor combo).Would that be enough or should i take a +5 en swrd/axe+a focus.

I think max energy does not matter that much. It's more about how you regain extra energy.

Depends. If you are not in danger of low energy, then keep using this weapon. If you are consantly in low energy, a +5 energy sword and focus would be more beneficial.

The best thing for you to do is keep both. Use Scar Eater until you are low on energy, then weapon switch. You'll get at least a bit more energy as a reserve.

Brohn's Staff

* Energy +10
* Fire Damage 11-22 (req. 9 Divine Favor)
* Halves casting time of Healing Prayers spells (Chance: 20%)
* Health +30
* Health +30
* Reduces Bleeding duration on you by 20%

Brohn's Holy Rod

* Fire Damage 11-22 (req. 9 Divine Favor)
* Halves skill recharge of Healing Prayers spells (Chance: 20%)
* Halves casting time of spells (Chance: 10%)

Incetol's Focus

* Energy +12 (req. 9 Healing Prayers)
* Halves casting time of Healing Prayers spells (Chance: 20%)
* Health +30

I have both these items and the Scar Eater. However Brohn's Staff is better than Scar Eater since it has a reduction in bleeding duration by 20%. My preferance is Brohn's Holy Rod and Incetol's Focus. I can sell you a Scar Eater if you want.

If you have Prophecies I would go get this one and it can be found in Maatu Keep.This is PvP focus Icon as I used it in PvP and works really well I would highly recommend it.

I agree with Yanman. Doesn't really matter what your max energy is, that's just giving you a buffer, once it's used it's used, and you can still run out. More important is how you regain your energy - through good energy management. More energy is nice of course, but don't sacrifice other things for it. In my opinion.

If you want a good healing staff, there really isn't much as far as green weapons goes. I would suggest you either go with a collector's staff with Insightful and Enchanting or Fortitude mod. Otherwise, just use a wand and offhand.

For the usual 5 energy skill healbot, you shouldn't really need much extra energy. Unless you are using Heal Breeze and are spaming Heal Party needlessly. Just make sure you have something to regain energy if neccessary, like drain enchant or power drain (assuming your using WoH).

What he was trying to say was that in Factions, that focus that the collector offers can be crafted in Maatu Keep. In Prophecies, one can get it from the desert collector.
