Rit Lord Variations
We're all familiar with the standard Rit Lord build. But many of us run this build with some variations to it. Here are a couple of mine for PvE:
Variation 1: Protter and Dedicated Rezzer
Communing 16 or 13
Spawning 13 or 16
Restoration (whatever points you have left)
Ritual Lord {E}
Boon of Creation
Shelter
Union
Displacement
Vital Weapon
Dulled Weapon/Feast of Souls/Earthbind
Flesh of My Flesh
Weapon 1: Anything with a 20% enchant mod for when I cast Boon of Creation. I know it lasts a long time, but getting an extra 10 + seconds out of it is nice with a simple weapon switch. This is standard for all my Rit Lord variations.
Weapon 2: + 5 energy wand/one hand weapon. Totem axe works for both weapon set 1 and 2, so it's not a bad choice unless u like to wand stuff... which I do A +5 en 20% HSR communing wand might be nice cuz it may allow you to cast Dulled Weapon on 2 clumps of monsters occasionallly. Quansong's Focus offhand is nice due to the 20% chance of +1 Communing, which can mean a higher level spirit. A must for spirit spammers imo.
Weapon 3: 20/20 HSR and HCT Restoration staff with + 60 HP. Just mod one from a collector. This is the weapon u equip when rezzing.
Description: Spam your defensive spirits in the back like a typical defensive Rit Lord. Cast Dulled Weapon on clumped up Wars/Rangers/Assassins. Dulled weapon is often overlooked but it really helps against high level monsters as they have a high chance of critical hits. Go with Feast of Souls if you think a Heal Party type spell will help out more. If you have a Meteor Shower ele in your group, Earthbind is a terrific option. Let your team know that you will be in charge of rezzing. When someone dies, cast Vital Weapon on yourself and switch to the +60 HP restoration staff and use Flesh of my Flesh. Since your health should be around or over 700, your ally will rez with about 350 health, allowing them to get back into battle. If the HCT for FoMF kicks in due to the staff, you'll rez them in 2.5 secs... not too shabby A pretty good build for the elite missions since deaths and critical hits are more common there. Dulled weapon is extremely underrated imo and helps to prevent spikes pretty well while helping Shelter stay up longer.
Variation 2: Mending Protter
Communing 14 or 11
Spawning 11 or 14
Restoration 12 (need 12 for the + 3 regen from Recuperation)
Ritual Lord {E}
Boon of Creation
Shelter
Union
Displacement
Recuperation
Mend Body and Soul/Resilient Weapon
Flesh of My Flesh
Weapon 1, 2, & 3: Same as above. Use a Restoration wand instead of a Communing wand if u like.
Description: I like to take this build to hex/condition heavy areas. Recuperation reduces degen nicely. Resilient Weapon will reduce degen even further. Mend Body and Soul will remove 4 conditions if all your spirits are up when you use it.
Variation 3: Offensive Rit Lord
Communing 15
Channeling 11
Spawning 11
Ritual Lord {E}
Boon of Creation
Pain
Bloodsong
Shadowsong
Disenchantment
Painful Bond
Flesh of My Flesh/Dissonance
Weapon sets: Same as above. Use a HSR/HCT wand/focus/staff for Channeling if you'd like Painful Bond to recharge faster now and then.
Description: One of my favorite builds to run with henchies. The damage output is phenomenal along with painful bond and you'll take out most bosses with ease. Using this build well requires knowledge of mob movement patterns and taking advantage of high ground to increase the attack range of your sprits.
So, what variations do you use when playing Rit Lord?
