Question You Guys Think the Divine Boon Change Will Do Much?

Was 1 sec recharge, now will be 10 sec recharge.

The Booners were probably a little overpowered, I guess this will make them a little less able to spam CoP.

Isn't Boon only going to be changed for this event?

Yes, it's only temporary skill changes.

Well, DB's use isn't restricted only to triggering CoP: I merely suggested that as an example--forgive the oversight on the duration of CoP.

And judging from past updates, these changes are not planned to be merely temporary, rather, betas for the permanent.

I'm not a master Boon Prot'er, just asking those who are. The recharge was changed for a reason--if it's stripped after being recently applied, for instance, you can't just slap it back on to drop the CoP hammer down like you could before (and get that free self-heal in the process).

The Anet guys have been pretty good at nerfing around things so far. Surprising that there's not a lot of hoopla regarding a nerf of what may have been one of the most powerful skills in the game.

Don't worry about it. The Divine Boon is only a temporary change for this even ONLY. Maybe when Nightfall comes out it will officially be changed, but until then, this is only temporary.

^ It could have something to do with the fact that Dervishes require enchants to fuel their attacks. Maybe having ready fuel constantly would make them overpowered.

Can you imagine them being the focus for a Smite monk? The damage would be insane!

I was worried about the divine boon recharge. If it stays, which it may once Nightfall comes out, it's gonna make life that much harder for boon prot monks. It seems ANet is slowly picking away at the build. I played my monk in RA again to see how I did and I did have to pay closer attention to it's recharge. It's not a devastating nerf I don't think, but it does hurt the build. Just don't mess with the cast time.
