Look Wing, Three Blade up on Guildwiki.org to find out where he is.
Group Tactics:
1: Exit from the Marketplace into Bukdek Byway.
2: Go to the first group in front of Wing's group.
3: Kill that group.
4: Move to Wing's group.
5: Start with the Ritualists, then Elementalists, then Mesmers, followed by Warriors then finally, Wing himself.
6: The Warrior should be using ripostes the whole time to damage Wing and the other Knights. Smiter should heal the Warrior and smite Wing the entire time, to soften him up for the final phase. Boon Prot keeps everyone alive. If the warriors, or wing, converge on the monks, monks fall back until he stops.
Overall: Good Luck getting the greens. Note: Some people have recieved poor results from thsi build, some bad, when I first used it, i got two axes the first two runs, but then was never able to do the farm successfully again. Some friends never got the axe, and some got very many.
GL with this build.

You could probably also switch the smiter for an ss necro and the boon protect for a bonder. Life barrier+bond would pretty much make the tank taking no damage.

Name one way you can solo it. He heals too much for 55s or touch rangers, you'd be there for at least a half an hour trying to 55 or touch him to death.

Next time do a little research.
I can name two solo builds for wing.
One:
55 IW Mo/Me
Typical 55 build with Mantra of Resolve, Ignorance, and Illusionary Weaponry. The only thing is you need to check his spawn, if he has more than 1 ritualist in his group, rezone.
Two:
Standard Greneth's Balance build. Same applies for the ritualists in his group.
I have killed him 30+ times with these two builds, gotten his axe only once however.

In the R/N Touch Farming thread, you can solo Wing by bringing dist shot.
But otherwise, this build looks pretty nice...how long does it take to complete a run?

Not really, the rits still heal him, and without keeping him blind and staying in a blocking/evasion stance the entire time he'll do massive dmg to you. The others will be doing damage to you with unnatural signet, about two every fourty seconds (doesnt sound like much but at an inconveniant time it can kill you), double dragon, dragon stomp, channeled strike, and ancestor's rage. Too much damage for yoru touches to overcome, especially with the reduced energy pool you have using the bow.
The build usually takes 5 minutes tops to finish, unless there are two rits in his group, and then he takes a bit longer, around 2 minutes longer.

Unless you're using a 13 monk for the first build, you'll be taking too much damage to negate without healing breeze. Keeping Mantra of Resolve up is taxing energy wise. You need the 5 staple skills for 55 monks, and those three skills you mentioned.
Care to explain this "Standard Grenth's Balance build"?

... 55 monk and SS necro would make tons more money in the UW. If you have another guide, feel free to post it in the farming section, not on my thread if you would.

Even if you don't solo him you can duo him with about any warrior and a monk bringing life barrier and bond. As my monk is secondary rit i take pain and bloodsong. Together with the warrior they just outdamage wings healing sig. The warrior usually brings live vicariously so he doesn't have to care for healing anymore. The monk just stays way back until only wing is left, as some of the jade and especially wing seem to like ignoring the warrior and going for the monk instead.
I did this several times, but i think the axe isn't worth the effort.

i soloed him some time ago. i also used a warrior/ necromancer grenth's balance build.
attribute point distribution:
tactics: 10 + 1 + 1
strength: 10 + 1
swordmanship: 11 + 3
i used a full ascalon set (yes, i always go for the looks ), superior absorption, major vigor, a ssakai's sword and a crafted +30 health, -5 damage (20% chance) shield from kaineng.
1. grenth balance {elite}
2. sever artery
3. gash
4. riposte
5. dolyak signet
6. healing signet
7. bonetti's defense
8. shield stance
before attacking wing, kill the the mob that goes with wing and the one before you actually get to wing. on first aggro, use shield stance to avoid some of the damage. attack the ritualist first. if there's more than one ritualist in a mob, reload, or be very, very patient sever artery followed by gash, grenth's balance do to additional damage. always switch target for grenth's balance, to maximize the healing you get. dolyak signet and healing signet are pretty obvious. bonetti's if you run low on energy. or take too much damage. i would recommend that you dont use healing signet if you dont have dolyak up. kill the ritulaist first, then the casters (mesmer, elementalist, whatever you hate most ), then the warriors. keep spamming riposte, to block some of the damage.
when fighting wings mob, always use grenth's balance on wing. it's a guarenteed full heal. maybe use it once on the ritualist to bring him down faster. when wing is the last standing, let your health drop really low, >100 health at least. activate riposte, followed by grenth balance. do this over and over again until he stops healing. always keep bleeding and deep wound on him. when wing stops using heaing signet, you should stop using grenth's balance. use the stances, riposte and healing signet to kill him.
takes a while to get used to it, but it works. the build is most definitely not perfect but i got my axe after a few runs.

Good for all of you who can solo and dual it, but no offense, i really don't care. If you have a better build than this, why not post your own thread with the build on it?

How long are your runs taking? I don't see how this is very economical as the axe isn't selling very well and has tanked down to 15k or so. Even if you got one axe per hour in a 3 man farm your talking 5k/hour (averaged per person) which is crappy vs solo farming-much less group farming. I try to make 10k/hour when farming not counting rare drops/chests. You would have to get 2-3 axes per hour to meet that in a three man farm which is nearly impossible with Cantha green drop rates. The ratio I've noticed when soloing him is 1 axe per 15-20 runs, and solo runs take me on average about 8 minutes with my personal best being ~ 7 minutes (door-to-door). Even with 3-man I doubt you can do it much faster than 4-5 minutes per run, counting zoning (door-to-door).
Thanks for taking the time to post the build though. It is in fact informative for those people that just want to farm the axe so they don't have to buy it.
And for those of you that are posting solo/2-man builds: Just because it's not economical doesn't mean it's not informative.
