Default Interrupting is fun!

I've been playing with my mesmer for a bit again, I always found that back in prophecies even when I brought a skillbar full of interrupts, I was only going to interrupt casters and that made me less effective then rangers, in a sense. Well.. no more! I stumbled upon psychic distraction a few days ago (interrupts skills woohoo!) and I decided to make a build around it, my goal being: Interrupt everything and everyone. Here we go;

Wastrells Worry - Added damage, somewhere to use energy, force opponents to cast spells so you can actually interrupt something.
Leech Signet - Interrupts skills, universal thus awesome
Disruption Signet - Interrupts everything if you pair it with WW, does damage too.
Psychic Distraction - 2 second cooldown interrupt? Sure why not
Unnatural Signet - This thing does pretty crazy damage... 83 when +1 on a weapon kicks in, and.. it's a signet which there are already 2 off, and signets recharge fast with:
Mantra of Inscriptions - 3 signets in the build, they cooldown pretty quickly with this.
Ether Feast - This skill really isn't needed most of the time, I like bringing self heal when there's heavy pressure on the monks, can always bring diversion for instance.
Res Sig/Hard Res - Ressurect one of your minions, always handy

12+1+3 Domination
11+1 Inspiration
6+1 Fast

So basically, you got 3 interrupts in there that can interrupt any skill, the first two have a ~20 and ~23 second cooldown, when it is cooling down, use Psychic Distraction, just spam it when needed, you got full energy most of the time (WW spam doesnt take that much). Unnatural Signet is actualy really good damage considering it's a signet, and it totally destroys spirits which is not the primary reason that I got it, but a very nice addition.

So really.. what I like is: I can interrupt everything, maybe I should have played a ranger instead but this can interrupt more often and faster, mostly what always annoyed me was that I had to save CoF for that Healing Signet or Trolls Ungent, but there's no need for that anymore. Psychic Distraction is also amazing against casters that spam their spells

With Psychic Distraction, several skills have high synergy with the Elite. The two skills Arcane Thievery and Larceny work especially well, as they are used as a passive shutdown and don't suffer from Distraction's self-blackout. Spirit of Failure is also a good choice and is used as extra E-Management.

With Psychic Distraction, you have to keep in mind not to fall for the trap of using PD all the time. If the enemy is about to use a long casting, long recharge skills (for example, Earthquake) you should using something like Power Drain, whereas PD is used as a backup interrupt or for shutting down skills.

I'm not sure what you're saying :X

Either you don't approve of what I typed out or you said something entirely different. But ehm.. I do think there's some nice synergy here. This build does allow Psychic Distraction to be spammed during the downtime of the signet, because you have the mana for it, and the other spells are in cooldown anyway. I felt that, with normal interrupts (other then pdrain) that Psychic Distraction wasn't usable because you wouldn't even have the energy to spam it at every single spell/skill, this build does allow you to (try) interrupt every single spell/skill they try to throw at you.

Your build itself is actually sound, though personally I wouldn't use Wastrel's. I'd go with something like Drain Enchant or Power Drain to manage energy, or Arcane Thievery as a passive shutdown while you're self-BOed. I'll give your build a whirl, though.
