I prefer Moebius Strike. Depends on what you're aiming for.

Its one of the best elites the Assassin has. Some people say that AoD is the elite, just like some people say RL is the Ritualist elite.

It's very useful to sneak up and also run a long way, when you're dying.

It's great for surprising your enemy. And when someone's chasing you halfway around the map, you can use it and they'll never find you again unless you run up to 'em.

The good thing about AoD is that it's a no attribute skill. With shadow of haste u may have to waste points in shadow arts, but AoD can be used not only by assassins, but by other classes aswell. AoD is a lot easier to control than shadow of haste is.

AoD is not necesarily the assassin elite. It is useful in PvP situations (go into observation mode and almost every assassin on the top gvg guilds will have it), but I havn't found a whole lot of use for it in PvE. Generally, the best elites are the ones that fit into your attack chain. I've never had too much use for defensive assassin elites. Examples of skills that fit into attack chains are elites like Moebius Strike, Palm Strike, and (yes) Seeping Wound. Even elites that seem lousy (such as Seeping Wound) are great if used in a combo that works well with them. For example, I use Seeping Wound because I need a hex spell to use Black Lotus, and because my my atack chain causes bleeding and poison.

i agree. for me, my current elite of choice is assassin's promise. it's difficult to time in most fights [especially bosses], but it works for me.
AoD isn't the be all and end all of sin elites. you can try each elite out and fit it in your skillbar. see how it works for you.
