hrm i thought they already had a place to do hero battles.......:P Maybe they should just make it somehow more rewarding than just faction pts...say like "model" it on HA where u have rotating maps..etc... I would do hero battles but don't see the point as there is no "reward" for doing so...where as if u "happen" to win HA with hero/way u get a drop from the chest and braggin rights. Maybe copy the Rank stuff and give the person who wins/gains certain maps or pts a new leadership title... Don't flame me cuz I am the first to admit I am a noob :P
EDIT: Didn't notice they put in titles with this update :P

A new title was introduced for winning in Hero Battles, surely all the PvE'ers wanting there People Know Me or Kind of A Big Deal will now go there instead.

Your going to learn how to win altar maps by other means then just kill them all by spamming 1337 sf, ANET should not promote a zergrush, kill them all type of gameplay.

Hmm... new system for skill consideration that players will really love?
Beta server with skill changes to be tested after they were tested by alpha team but prior to be released in competitive play where they will affect ladder, etc? It's something games like WoW do afterall prior to releasing patches, opening a server for everyone to test.
I kinda have a hard time figuring what else players would 'really, really love'.
Cause something like 'Hey, we're getting better info now cause we have new statistic programs. You're really really happy, right?' kinda doesn't seem to cut it.

This is why HA/GVG/Ra/Ta is called PVP which again is short for player vs. player. IT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE AI VS AI. no offense, but if youre not going to actually take PVP seriously, dont turn it into PVE because you can now take 3 heros and 2 hench and go by yourself. Again, no offense, but it is people like you who thought like this that turned HA into hero team vs hero team which was half the problem. I am personally glad to see that heros are limited in HA and that these teams will no longer run rampant in EVERY MAP. either work your way into pvp like the rest of us had too, or dont PVP. simple

I'm not spamming a bambi because of my hatred of IWAY, but I didn't go running around with AI either. It just seems embarressing X_X.
SF has also earned my hatred too =(

Umm, pardon me, but "should have expected something like this?" What in the world? You do realize, that they have a limited staff? The people playing the game far out number the employees? I mean, woah. I can see maybe how ANet will need to do something to fix this, but honestly, they are only human working a very very complex piece of code. All you really have to deal with in this game is the playing of it.

The solution is to change it so that its like HA where you get more points towards the title for consecutive wins. That way its to you disadvantage to do this.
It is possible to get your HA titles by rolling to resign on the first map, but no one does this because 1. You get more fame for winning more 2. There's an end goal to HA (win HoH). If they add something like more HvH points per consecutive wins or a chest once you reach 10 wins then this will stop.

No, points for commander title should be only awarded for winning streaks like in RA/TA. Maybe a 5-win streak should get you 1 point and so on. Not likely to win 5 dice rolls in a row,

That's how it SHOULD be, but currently that's not how it IS. They need to fix that, but that means not going back to the arena after every match. They should just disable dice rolling there. And Rock/Paper/Scissors.

-Implement consecutive wins. Don't just get back to the arena place. Go to the next match.
