UW solo BM theory
R/Mo
12 Prot Prayers
8 + 3 + 1 BM
6 + 3 Exp
8 + 1 WS
Skills
Protective Spirit
Call of Protection
Comfort Animal
Poison Arrow [Elite]
Troll Urgent
Balthazar's Spirit
Life Bond
Charm Animal
America dosen't have favour at the moment so I can not test this build untill later tonight. Since a level 20 Pet has 480 health the most damage it will take with protective spirit is 48. Combined with Life Bond/CoP that SHOULD be reduced to 24 then 7.
This could be a way for rangers to solo the Bladed Aataxes in the UW, if you can find a reliable way to get your pet to tank for you. Poison arrow is just there to coutner the Aataxes natural +3hp regen.

Assuming COP is applied after PS, I don't see why it wouldn't work, the question is... why would you waste the time? It'd take over an hour just to do a single smite run....

Like I said its just a theory, there are far too few builds out there that use a pet. Other than B/P, which I am sick of TBH.

Won't work.
The AI is a bitch for pets and you'll have a real hard time to get your pet to stay where it is (and just be prepared to randomly see it run off for no real reason). But even if you put this aside, how are you going to do damage?
You've got no points in Marks so it won't be you that is doing the damage and your pet will do about 17-41 damage, not armor ignoring and missing often because of the ripostes.

ill try it i have nothing better to do
it might be hard to do damage because u have no damage skills
you would still have to worry about nightmares becuase as soon as u res the pet the monsters will rape him
and maybe take barrage instead of poison arrow?jsut an idea for more damage

Might be abit of fun i spose, definately something different to do, but realistically it looks like it's going to be rather slow, certainly not really a viable option
Edit- might be better to see this as a tanking alternative for a duo rather than a solo build

Hmmm........ Maybe swap out Poison Arrow for GC and bring a fire ele with Mark of Rodgort or some other high DPS build.

But how well does it tank? I guess I'll have to try it after work tonight.

I tried the tanking and died in 10 secs. The main problem is to send your pet, especially at the beginning, where you gotta get closer to your target than usually because the elevation (so your bows have a shorter range). You can't run as soon as you've fired as your pet won't charge if you move before your arrow strikes the target. But if you stay, the aatxes are also likely to ignore your pet and kill you in a few secs.
Otherwise yeah the tanking is ok but you still need to use Comfort to keep your pet alive. Another thing: if a Nightmare pops, you're screwed - your pet won't attack it immediately of course, and if you want to kill it yourself, you gotta get very close, with the risk of having the aatxes deciding to leave your pet to kill you.
But you may want to see if you can have better results than I did and have a better control of your pet. But in any case, the killing is going to be extremely slow.

Think it seems to be that it is possible...but theres really not much reason to do it compared to the other alternatives out there, unless you really want to!
