as far as i know, the tip only appears once. and never to those people who get annoyed by those useless tips that they already know about, and switched them off in their Options settings. so stop being an asshole and try to be somewhat helpful. i never got that tip because i thought those tips were useless. so call me stupid, but getting advice on topics that i already know inside and out gets old really, really fast.
as far as i know, the OP was asking how many times it takes for the anti-farming code to kick in and how long it takes for it to turn off. i'd say that it requires about 5-10 times of repeated entering, and probably doesn't turn off for a pre-determined amount of time.

When I farm minotaurs in Elona boom-boom-boom, the QUANTITY of my drops goes down after 10 runs or so.
And if I stop playing and come back half a day later? The quantity is back up.
I wasn't doing something that testable until recently, so I don't know if it's new.
Picking up the reward for a quest I'd previously finished except for the reward was NOT enough to reset the Elona drop nerf, oddly.
Anyhow, if you have both Factions and Prophecies, there's a good chance you haven't done all of:
1. Missions
2. Bonuses/Masters level
3. Skill quests, especially for your less favored secondary professions
So there's always something to do ... Plus now there are challenge missions and competitive missions in Factions that cry out to be repeated.

Ok, I could be wrong here but as far as I remember...
That Tool Tip that says "If you keep farming the first group" and then rezoning and repeating, then they will have less and less each time.
"First Group"
I do not see a big differance if you farm thru one or 2 zones then turn around and reverse the run.
Usually once you aknowledge one of these messages I do not remember it popping up ever again, tho I may need to re-check my tool tip settings, tho I am sure it's been turned off, because At one time i thought that that incluyded the stupid spell descriptions from the skillbar, which would be really nice if anet DIDN'T MAKE IT COVER THE PARTY WINDOW....
Doing missions is supposed to reset/change farming code, not nessarly quests, because some bosses cannot be farmed any more after finishing a quest, and some others do not show up if a certain quest is active, or untill a certain mission is compleated.
The search button is garbage period.
And who cares if someone askes a question, if you don't want to answer it then stfu and stop calling names, lazy noob? lol ummm he came here to get information, and also most of the time people won't answer a question because they think it's dumb and such a such person is a noob.....you were noob once also, i have been in cities where there have been at least 50-100 people and questions were asked by people and not a single person answered.
So if your soo dam "leet", and so tired of answering such "noobish" questions stop being a prick and don't say anything at all

Way off! Which is par for the course for know-nothings with elitist attitudes and short tempers.
The code seems to trigger based on the number of times you zone. You can farm half an area, leave your character in there for a couple of hours and then finish off the other half and still get good drops.
To the OP: As others have said, get about 3 farming spots. Do 3-4 runs in one, then switch to spot # 2, then to spot # 3. Rinse, repeat.
From what I've seen this code triggers about the 7 - 10th time you repeat an area. Can't say how long it lasts, so it's best not to trigger it if you can help it.

Thankfully someone banned him.
We don't need people who have nothing better to do than flame.
As for the anti-farming code, I think it triggers on ~10th time that you enter the zone or so...I just go do something else for a while. If you're not having any luck, go do something else.
@ubermancer, If you're going to give the man some information he can use, please do so.
To the OP: If you still can't find what you want to know, google has a 1 in a million chance of working...

I see, so to clarify, the anti farming code kicks in when you enter the zone and not when you kill the same thing in that same zone?

i know this post is old, and i did use the search button :P
tonight ive been farming in elona reach for 2-3 hours (thats over a hundred runs) before i got the warning... still made 20k tho
as it says in the hint, play normally in maps (do missions, quests, help noobs) and it will eventually reset the anti-farming

I got the message once while testing farm builds. However it did not affect drops. Then I go in after the last nerf and elonas is dry, i didnt go in at all in about 2 months. So I dont know whats up either. If I dont see cash drops in elona the first round, I leave and do green farm. Prior to the nerf I used to switch between mursaat and souther shiver stuff. Most peopel dont farm there so it was good money.
I think all you need to do, like a lot of other people said is rotate farm spots. With the template system, the weapon sets and map-tele system, its easy to do green famrming in factions, get to the trolls in proph, then get to NF once ur bored.

hi guys...nice thread...nice flamer
ive found that if you travel between the worlds (tyria, cantha, elona) and do something that would usually remove the code, it only removes it for THAT world.
over the past few months between all the stuff i do in elona and cantha, i sometimes come back for a few rockshot runs in thirsty river. however, the anti farm code has never dissapeared and now every time ive gotten carapaces and coins coz i havent been doing anything else in tyria.
well this is just wat ive discovered, which i find quite annoying since if i want to farm all three continents i have to do three times as much anti-farm-code-ridding as usual

If you want to get rid of the code, run the Northern Great Wall mission, and don't forget to actually finish it.

if u know something write it now, otherwise go into another topic and dont flame here pls

K the anti-farming code do net get resetted if u just go and farm a different location. There is several aspects that I have read are linked to this. The best way to cancel or reset the anti-farm is to do high-end missions / quest with real ppl if possible. That just shows youre not a bot and then the counters get resetted. I hardly ever get that message because I go and help guildies a lot so I'll farm 1 green do 1-2 missions/quests then do some more mission etc.
hope this helps a bit
