Has anyone been able to come up with a viable build to farm the Djinn and Roaring Ethers? So far i've not been able to come up with a good one yet for w/? /sigh

the problem with the e/a build and djinn's is you have to get a decent sized group of couse which could be difficult since djinn's spawn in groups of 3 or 4.

Use a Wurm. And whos say's Anet has nerfed farming into the ground. They gave us a great way to solo farm in Elona.

3-4 in a group is enough, silver armor, obs flame, tenai & crystal wave... I can kill 3 of the 4 in a single shadow form charge.

A build similar to the E/R FoW soloer worked for me well. I changed 2 skills but i'm not sure if it's all that much better.
They dont drop any gems for me though and i couldnt expert-salvage any gems from their drops so i went on and found better places to make money in NF

Hmm was really looking for a W/? build :/ and I'm not to the sulpher desert area where you can ride wurms yet. I was thinking the Mirror of Lyssa? valley area as I have access to that and there are Djinn right outside one of the prince's areas there.

Going to be a long time till I can get my elementalist over there

EDIT: In the Mirror they come in groups of 4 with 1 djinn and 3 roaring ethers (mesmer mobs). There is also a whispering agent there to award lightbinger points for kills.

do the ones in mirror of lyss drop rubies and saphs cause on guildwiki they dont have those as drops for them.

I've not noticed them dropping them yet but I've not been able to solo them yet either :/

Was able to duo them with a hero-bonder type setup, though at times it got a bit dodgy and 2 deaths would make it so I couldn't solo a group with Fire Djinns in it.

So far no spectacular drops but Dunkoro is taking his share

Groups seem to be 2 Raging Ethers + 2 Djinn or 3 Ethers + 1 Djinn. There is also a group with a Mesmer? Ether boss.

I guess not, I only get the Yammiron's focus on the mesmer boss. There's another place that has diamond djinn (don't remember the name) has a ritualist boss there. And no gem drops for me there too.

I solo farm them. All I got are essenses

Ive been trying with a 55monk to solo the djinn in resplendant makuun.

I am using a IW conjure nigthamre build

I can kill the mobs with 2 saphhire djinn, and 1 fire djinn, but diamond djinn are almost impossible to kill(the paragon ones) as they keep healing themselves.

Im off to try some more builds for this, so once i get a working build, ill let u know.

try using SV and AV it will take a little longer but it works as long as there is melee monsters

If u check my thread, somehwere on here 85 m/n djinn farming, you will see i found a build for it.

However, sv and av wouldnt work, as i could get them down to 0e, but how would I damage them, i cant bring famine, as im already m/me, and as for mind wrack(i think thats the skill) i wouldnt have room for it on my skill bar
