Somewhere like Realm Of Torment fits into this convo as a lot people are already complaining about those areas and missions needing a nerf, and people like you pointing out skills that you think might be overpowered in PvP because you're not creative enough to come up with a counter so you think nerfing is the best option, normally has A-net reaching for the nerf bat, but not for those areas.
Anyway I'm not going to waste my time arguing with you, hats off for beating NF twice, now try beating this skill or is that too difficult?

Realm of Torment is a mission that some PvE carebears are having difficulty with.
Realm of Torment is an overpowered skill that wrecks RA/TA, and is also way too strong a skill in HA/GVG.
Your comparison fails.

i agree with Thom, and no, i don't think that every skill should be zapped, and in fact the opposite. idk if anyone remembers lol, but the 1st or 2nd day factions came out, they changed twisting fangs cause it was doing too much damage+the deep wound. it was almost a one hit kill at 75% hp lol. i don't think that 10 seconds is long btw for whoever said that. 10 seconds is nothing compaired to a rit's cool down or a mesmers heavy elite. also...
i use a LOT of souldreaping on my necro. i rune him up, and focus on curses, making him a strong hexer, with zero energy problems or hp. slap parasitic at the end of every baddie, sig of lost souls for hp+energy (best non-elite for nec imo), and the common others with soul barbs, blah blah blah. but with reapers mark, even I feel overpowered. the degen is ridiculus in PvP, and no, not so much in PvE, cause it's harder to notice, but for us arena fans, i feel like it's just a joke, like that ridiculus searing flames. imo, those are the only two moves in the game that are a little too strong. also, nto to change subject lol, but um.. "can't touch this"? is this a joke??? NO ONE would waste a skill trying to prevent the single LAMEST build ever. really.. anyone running touch should jump off a bridge lol. i'm tired of hearing people saying "i'm just playing touch for fun" too. np, you're playing it cause it's easy and cheap. i've gotten to the point that i wait right till they use their 7th blood steal, i shadowstep in, and drop them from behind. i hate kids that run the bs. and btw, these are all opinions, no bashers please. no one needs to get upset over this stuff, just talkin' lol.

You changed the subject.
Yes, there has already been a discussion about how "Can't Touch This" is hillarabad (hilariously bad), everyone knows its useless.
However your criticism that touch ranger players need to jump off a bridge is unwarranted. Touch rangers are no different from searing flames elementalists, or assassins/dervishes in general. Its an easy to use, or otherwise cool looking character, who the vast majority of people play, often simply because others play it, and most of them have no idea what they are doing. It is the people who can play the FotM well, the ones who can unleash the full potential of a build like Searing Flames or the Touch Ranger, who become truly devestating. Not all people run with the herd, some people run ahead of the herd.
Now, back on topic.
Reapers mark does not require a nerf, its perfectly fine. As Mistress Mindbender stated, hexes are easier to remove than before. Try hexing a D/Mo with CoP and come back and tell people otherwise. But, regardless, don't cry out for nerfs to your own class, especially when you get a fairly awesome skill, thats just not on. If your given a shiney new "overpowered" toy to play with, enjoy playing with it and make sure nobody says anything to ruin the fun

CoP is now officially useless on anything but a Monk.

If hexes are so easy to remove then why do hex builds exist in GvG?

just cause smth renders you useless it doesnt right away mean that its overpowered... i mean this game was designed to be a team game, so if you get hexed maybe a team member could remove some hexes ? Convert hexes anyone ? ...
Honestly just because some of you die to mass hex builds with often no defence and cant solo Randoms or Teams ... thats by far no indication of a skill being overpowered.
The Skill is strong agreed does it need a nerf , no! Imo finally necros got a toy to play with apart form SS and Life transfer !
(and thats said by a player who monks 75% of the time)

Thank you for correcting me, I have not yet experimented with dervishes yet, so I was unaware of this fact.

I never stated that hexes were so easy to remove that they are impractical to use, merely that they are fairly easy to remove in general, an example would be how stopping, dropping, and rolling does a great deal to remove parasites, specifically the insidious variety.

I feel like this thread is talking about a different game...
I normally play Warrior or Monk in RA, and I've encountered many Necros running RM, I normally run away from him, let him chase me and overextend as my team pounds him for his overeagerness.
For Monk, I simply use Signet of Devotion, and Blessed Light very occasionally when my health has dropped below 50%

idk, i see what you're all saying, and yeah, i don't want another nerf, fair enough, but i feel like i'm cheating when players drop like flies cause of hyper degen. i still have yet to see anyone in RA/TA/HA bring anything other than inspired/hex removal to get rid of baddies though. maybe i'm just cranky cause the last million matches in pvp have had nothing but searing flames/touch/and reapers mark kiters. i like seeing creativity, and most of my builds are weird, but effective, so when i'm playing with one of those and see the other guys using staples over and over again, it kinda makes me feel like why should i be creative when they're so much better, but only lose cause i play better. so idk, i'm not trying to offend anyone, hell, i capped reaper's mark with my nec the 3rd day of NF, i ain't ashamed, but i rather use something else for a lil, w/e lol.

There's you're problem. The monks you're playing with don't have their bases covered. When I monk in random arenas, I almost always play Blessed Light with Holy Veil. It won't completely stop a hex spamming team, but it will keep their offense within reasonable limits.

idk, once again, i'm talking on the offensive side, not the defensive, i play anti-melee/hex-spam when i play necro in pvp, and i'm sayin that from me trying reapers mark after i capped it in pvp, it was absurd, the cast speed, recast, dt, cdt for all my others are under 15, so i was killing the whole team slowly ect. i've seen 2-3 necros on one team in RA once, and somehow (out of luck) they all had different moves for the most part. and itwas bad. i had a gret monk on my team too, a friend of mine, and she's damn good, runs b-light and viel, and it was usless. she could barely keep up with just 2 of them after i dropped one. i'm sure some of you have had to go through this lol. i can usually fight through it (minus anti melee) if im sinning, but hell, it'll get anyone if you don't kill the transferers/siphons. sigh lol oh wells

First of all i want to say WTF! its just a game!!! Its not like your gonna win 10000000$ second is Reapers Mark is not overpowered. i mean say 1 proffesion that have no hexremoval in pvp! use your secondaries
I mean no one ever heard of remove hex? shatter hex, holy veil, hexbreaker etc. etc. i mean who can complain about "Im dying of a hex! It must be nerfed cause i dont have enough room in my skillbar for a hex removal!
I mean cant someone just realise PvP is not everything? I must agree PvP is popular and i think its very fun. But just cause you cant find a good counter that owns RM doesnt mean you have to destroy it for us PvE players.
So what if you die of RM, take a hex removal!
!!!PEACE!!!
Dont you but me cause i'll but back
