The Power Is Yours!
Has anyone found a use for this skill? I still don't understand what makes it good, let alone elite worthy.
Here is the description:
(10 energy, 20 recharge) All party members within earshot gain 1...7 Energy. For 10 seconds, you have -10 Energy degeneration.
For me, it seems worse than the non-elite, "Never Give Up!":
(5 energy, 20 recharge) All allies within earshot and below 75% Health gain 1...8 Energy.
I'm probably not undestanding how it works, or missing some possible skill combination that makes it worth it. But even with focus swapping, I consider having no energy for 10 seconds not worth a gain of only 7 energy? I just don't get it.

ya..it looks like it could use a buff...
If you have 8 party member then you are sacrificing your 10 energy(only use when you have 10ish left) and some time without energy for 7e each...effectively trading 10 energy for 49 energy if combined...
to me it looks like a last resort skill

I don't understand the 10 energy degeneration...surely you might as well say "lose all energy"...?
I capped this over the weekend just so I had it - highly doubt I'll use it because there are much better motivation elites. I usually go command amyhow...and lets face it...I agree with clawofcrimson...it really is a last resort skill...in which case the team will probably be at less than 75% health which makes Neger Give Up far far superior.

Aria of Zeal
Ballad of restoration
The power is Yours
wait 10 sec
Lyric of zeal
Blazing Spear
Glowing Signet
Rinse and Repeat
Is it worth it? That's another discussion.

It's actually worse than that.. Because for "losing all energy" situations there are easier counters -- e.g. weapon set swapping, or you could at least use adrenaline-based shouts and/or some signet to get the energy back immediately.. But with this dumb TPIY elite, you get a constant loss of energy which is rather crippling..
Another poorly thought paragon elite, IMO.

Exactly. It basically means you can't use anything that requires energy for 10 seconds, because this elite skill will drain your own energy fast and keep it drained.
I just don't know what Anet was smoking when they made this skill.

I think it was a form of OoB, but instead of sacing life and giving energy to yourself, it gives energy to others, but at a cost of your own energy.
Since it is not necessary for a Pargon to have energy, it can be of little consequence.
But I admit, it is still a stupid skill.

i say buff it up to like 10-25 energy gained? At least make it worthy of elite.

But the problem is it's just not worth it for 7 energy. They should buff the energy gain, or lower the negative, or do something to make it worth it. You can give every caster 7 energy with [wiki]Aria of Zeal[/wiki], so why would you use TPiY..

First of all, its a great skill as a battery/support build. Taking advantage of the energy you gain from leadership, you can keep your energy up by using adrenal shouts and other chants.
