Deadly Arts
Not many of us dabble into this attribute , or even use this to kill anyone however
Give a valid reason to not use this attribute for damaging sure you can spike, but so can a Mesmer or a necro (to an extent) but they usually degen/hex aswell
So why not use deadly arts???
great assist skills are there, enduring toxin and shameful fear are great to put on a fleeing enemy because if they dont stop moving the hex will kill them.
aswell that assassins do well in pve with deadly arts
Enduring toxin shameful fear, alone do a good amount of DPS,

Deadly Arts wasn't as good as other attributes until now. With Nightfall, Deadly Arts has become better.
Health degen for 5 seconds is poor. Its the equivalent to Conjure Phantasm with attributes of 5 or something.
Only if they move will Endure Toxin and Shameful Fear work, once target stops moving, they don't do much at all.
People are making builds for Deadly Arts, but to make them as powerful as Dagger Mastery will take some time.

I don't see why not- assassins' main role in combat is 2 'assassinate' 1 target
Deadly arts is gr8 4 things such as crippling (dark prison) and can potentially make a warrior indefinately useless with Siphon Strength. Problem is deadly arts is supposed to b 'damaging' yet at best it can only throw in a few decent hits.
IMO shadow arts is the better choice for survival.. Deadly arts is for more risky and more organised builds

Deadly arts has great skills. The only problem is it needs a big investment for it to become effective.
Deadly Arts on it's own is nothing. You'll need Dagger Mastery. If you take Dagger Mastery, you want Critical Strikes. Your attributes are spreading thin huh?
You still don't have a self-heal. What are you going to do? That's right, drop Deadly arts and take some shadow arts ( shadow refuge, feigned neutrality ) and increase DM and CS. Bye bye Deadly Arts.

I dunno, I get by fine with two Deadly Arts skills on my skillbar, in addition to having unlinked warrior skills, and I only bring DA up to 4.
Deadly Arts is becoming more popular because ANet buffed several skills in there, especially hex durations, and as people also see that simply MASSIVE amount of enchant disrupt/removal in both PvE and PvP, the shift away from Shadow Arts is almost inevitable.
That being said, even with 0 points in Deadly Arts, combining Deadly Paradox with Dark Escape then Feigned Neutrality provides a potent escape/heal/armor buff.

Assuming you want to make a Deadly Art build that still make use of daggers, then Dagger Mastery isn't that important since the two skills you need the most are in the Crit Strike line(Black Lotus Strike and Twisting Fangs). 9 points in DM and CS is enough to make use of both lines.

you could replace black lotus with golden lotus...and although there is no skill like TF...does the assasin always need to revolve around this skill??

TF is a non elite, buffed Eviscerate. Why the heck wouldn't you want to revolve around it? It's also not even in Dagger Mastery. There's almost no reason not to take it.
That being said, there's some very powerful Deadly Arts builds around. Search on guildwiki, that's where I got my ideas from. I've posted the build I use on here before, you can search for that too, I suppose.

The A/E Signet spiker is a nice build that uses deadly arts rather well. I enjoyed playing it alot more than Dagger assassins (Now I believe that assassins who use daggers are weak compared to this)
