Hi everyone. I use to farm trolls, minotaurs, and other creatures a while back and I just got factions and nightfall for christmas, but now whenever I try and gather creatures up and kill them(like trolls) they just run away from me and I cant kill any of them. How does farming work now?

Nowadays people only aggro mobs of 3 foes max. That way they won't spread. Course you've got some build here in the forum that show other ways of doing it, but compared with the old school farming it's really slow and boring.

most of the time, ranged attackers wont scatter. so you might wanna change your farming spot.

btw, trolls are worthless nowadays and with the aoe scatter its definately not worth it

For the next few days, do some fast farming for Wintersday collectibles.

if you're xp farming, they're still worth it. i'm farming trolls still just because they net the most xp in the minimum amount of time. if you're farming for cash, then yes, they're worthless.

There's a Ele fire build floating around the farming forum that shows how to agro the cave and kill off the mob of 15 trolls in a little over 15 seconds.
