IAS and Auto-attacking PvP/PvE
Hi,
I was trying to plan a new template, based on several skills which are:
- way of assassin OR locust fury
- sharpen dagger
- IAS
There are 2 options then:
- Dual with a necro / monk Order of Vampire and Strenght of Honnor
- Using a combo
In the first case, you need to attack very fast to benefit from these skills: OoV SoH Sharpen dagger (this last skill adds a nearly constant 6dps which is hard to remove because it will be reapply almost immediatly)
In the 2nd case, you only need enough IAS to pull out your entire combo.
Concerning IAS, I would go fighter. Here we got:
- Frenzy
- Flurry
- Burst of Aggression
To quickly do a combo, BoA seems perfect. 12s recharge is short for PvP purpose but quite long for PvE.
Frenzy is dangerous in all case, although it is very efficient in mana
Flurry might be the best because daggers already have a low damage.
-25% damage for a constant IAS.
In case of a combo, the dagger damage are a bonus, but skills do kill target.
In case of OoV SoH SD, dagger damage are needed but still a bonus. It has a potential of 17+6+6 so 39 damage per hit. Add about 13 damage per hit from dagger, we have 52 damage without criticals. About 60 with criticals.

I had a similar build with a similar concept in mind. Back in the days of the Air of Enchant smiter, he put SoH on me and was constantly spamming smites off me. I used Frenzy in those days, but now without constant prot spells, I've switched to Flail - it's fast charging since daggers attack so quickly and you don't need a cancelstance. Bit slower killing the Zaishen though, since you need to wait for it to charge.

Old build I made a while ago, it's very fun to use, takes VERY little attention, but you NEED a backup monk to keep you healthy.
anyway, the pro's and con's are in the post

Sure, alot of damage.
But it's too easily controllable, therefor, it won't work.
If you plan on using Draco's build, be sure to get at least 13 critical strikes.

Hi,
I havent look at the new nightfall skills for warriors previously.
So I looked at Flail and it seems incredible for PvE. I dont even think I need a cancel stance.
Yes it charges with 4 adrenalines, which is very easy to gain, especially with Locust fury. The first one will probably start after 2 seconds but then it will be nearly infinite.
33% slower movement are bad but you generally dont have to move that much in pve. Except when you are focus fire but then, you surely have something like dash, dark escape, return, ... Even, 5 seconds is not a long time to wait in most situations.
That way, you can skip flurry and save a lot of mana while doing more damage overall.
So, you dont need 13 in critical, and/or critical eyes, and/or zealous daggers.
I would try something like:
14 daggers (11+2+1)
12 shadow art (10+2)
11 critical (10+1)
Why so much in shadow ? to use Way of perfection.
I also like to have great survivability in PvE : feigned neutrality...
But I need to check duration of locust fury sharpen dagger with 11 critical (about 26-28 seconds I guess). I need to be able to recast them as soon as they expire.

Here are some builds. Remember that they are meant for PvE without rez (in a good group, you dont need rez anyway)
Attributes points are not set in stone, I need to test these before.
Critical : 11 + 2 (13)
Shadow Art : 10 + 2 (12)
Dagger : 10 + 1 + 1 (12)
Skills set in stone:
- Locust Fury
- Flail
- Feigned Neutrality
- Dark escape
(DE following by FN make you almost invulnerable. DP DE FN is even better)
4 skill slots left.
For a true autoattack build, I would choose:
- Assassin Remedy
- Sharpen dagger
- Way of perfection
- Critical Eyes
But adding a slow recharging combo would be good. (fast recharging combos are bad with locust fury)
I wont detail combos because it isnt the subject of this post.

I've had good luck with Golden Phoenix > Horns > Spider > Twisting...i know it's a way-too-often used combo and I can't say it's my favorite, but it really works with Locusts' and an IAS.
