Default Candy Shard Farming Question?

What would be the most preferable creature to get some candy shards?
Candy Shards are considered crafting material on the drop table if that helps.

Most people favorite are grawl and charr.

Nice low level, lots of places with lots of them, and their collector drops are tradable to wintersday items. Grawl are my personal favorite.

For shards, pretty much everything drops them. Find the largest group of mobs you can kill in the shortest amount of time.

Diessa Lowlands from Noali Acadamy. Although I use it to farm spiked eggnogs.
