Yeah that run is by far the best if you aren't looking to farm spiked eggnog. I'm grabbing skulls so far for the spiked tho, if you're farming for anything else though I think the undead is the most profitable by far.

A quick run is the grawl mob north of Frontier Gate. Not as profitable as undead but they're a crap load of them=ornate grawl necklaces. Solo MM for low lvl areas is funn

I love doing gargoyles with my MM...picking up close to 20 skulls per run, plus 2 black dyes, 1 white dye, and at least 15 various other dye over the last 2 days

Only in rumor.

Anet has hinted at a new use for shards, and a new kind of candy cane (rainbow), but there's no evidence of a connection between those two things.

Finally a grawl location. Thanks!

And I guess I'll have to try undead, for variety if nothing else.

I've been doing those Bergen Hotsprings in Kyrta and exiting into Nebu Terrace. With my derv, I kill all the undead between Bergen and the Cursed Lands to the West, then zone back. I could also do the undead in cursed lands just as easilly... it does not matter. Instead of the Avatar of Balthazar though, I take AoMelandru because those Skeleton Sorcerers cast blinding surge or something like that. I also use Heart of Holy Flame. Its easy. I get about 15-20 Ore Emblems each way, and lots of runes (although so far few valuable runes). I make about 2500g per half our with this run, including selling off materials, and salvage kit costs.

I finally tried Gates of Kryta. And I have a couple of questions.

1. People say to fight the first group of enemies. Why? You can just curl behind the first house on the left, zig-zag down the hill, and find a lot of victims.

2. People say to take Oink along. Is there an absolute reason for this, or is it build dependent? E.g., having somebody else to soak up aggro can be counterproductive if you're running Sliver Armor.

3. After killing some enemies and looking for more, I find a bunch who don't attack me, even as I methodically kill them. This is actually a bit disappointing. What's going on? Is it because I'm not fighting the first group of enemies and then taking Oink along?

Another possibility is Stone Summit in the Northern Shiverpeaks, although they don't drop anything worth mentioning except their badges and the occasional minor rune.

There seems to be too much enchantment stripping to be worth the hassle for elementalists. I suspect an MM could clean up. But there may be too much running around between battles to make it super-profitable ...

Omg, did you read the whole topic? My first post told I farmed Crawls, then my 2nd told where to, and still afther that post you say where to farm. Reading is your friend as I see you didn't have find your friend yet or don't know him too well.

Afther I did a few hours farming I switched to Gargoyle skulls because I came on the idea to farm my Drunken title instead of spending 200k on Ale. Right now I can get almost the first drunken title by farming the skulls and I have a few thousand skulls left to farm. I also buy 250 skulls at once from people. Most of them sell them for 100g each, but when you show them a few platinum for 250 of them, they are fast pleased as well because: why bother selling them 100g each for like hours if you can sell them instandly for a few platinum and start again?. :P

if u kill the 1st group which attack those 2 villagers, the spawn down the hill is twice as much

some ppl use oink as tank positioning him on that narrow descending path of the hill so that u can use a full damaging build

if u bring oink with u there's a possibility that he gets some aggro and not u

Build Word: AWNwkJz5wK4q8wvqBYrSLArA

this build

http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10090973

works wonders for me in this mission. Instead of arcane echo though i use silver armor for the melee attackers at the huge spawn and Sandstorm for the rangers-warlocks spawn.

2 sandstorms take care of all the ranged attackers. Also a /D build with Mystic Regen could work for an even easier job with more attack skills but no energy management.

My favorite using my WMO with a Holy Light Smiter Build( this is the same build that was good for farming Rotscale Bow before they nerfed the soloing) would be Undead farming in the GoK Mission. I get 15-25 Emblems plus 2-6 chards per run plus dye drops, rune drops like crazy, Unmax golds, Lots of gold dead bows( also non max).

2nd favorite would be Shocking Barrager build for termite leggs on Noob Island, average a little less than Undead.

Undead Farming great for mutiple drops of Emblems.

3rd just for the dye drops would be Great Wall with my Shocking Barrager 1 run 1 black and 2 silver dye drops plus some cc shards and skulls, carvings.

Thanks again for the help!

I'm having trouble with degen, so I'm inclined to stick with Ether Renewal anyway.

That's not what I meant. Without Oink, I kill a whole bunch of undead. Then I walk a bit and find undead rangers, mesmers, etc. who just stand in place. Even when I attack them and just damage them to death, they do nothing.

Maybe these are the additional enemies who run up if I kill the first group. I'll test it and see.

EDIT: Tested and confirmed.

In gok if you're reliant on the enemies hitting you for energy with bonds or anything definitely don't take oink he'll steal your aggro.

If you're an ele that is just going to fire nuke them, then oink is probably required

The time it takes to kill the first two groups at the start is definitely counterbalanced by the number that runs up behind the house in comparison to just running there first.
