Default W/mo tank build

This builds pretty good and could be better if i had better equipment. This has been only used in PvE, if someone could test in PvP and post how well it worked id appreciate it

Attributes
12+1 swordsmanship(minor rune)
11+1 tactics (minor rune)
4+1 str (helm)

that should basically kill all your points

for skills

roposte
sever artery
gnash
defensive stance
"shields up"
Endure Pain
Healing Signet
Rebirth

This works pretty well for me specially with a semi decent monk for healing

Armor

I use Platemail for this with+1 str helm
with superior damage reduction rune and minor vigor

Weapons
Katana(base)
+29 health sword pomel
20/19 sundering hilt

Exalted Aegis
16 armor(9 tact)
+5 armor
+30 health(always)

this for me works really well if you have any subtle ways to improve the build
It was actually quite cheap to build id say less then 45k for everything...
besides getting better equipment then feel free to give some comments on it

EDIT sorry about the typo its now changed

*You sure that's all of your attribute points?

Swordsmanship 12 - ~97
Tactics 1 - 1
Strength 4 - ~10

Thats 108... just over half the total.

*If its a tank build, then testing it in PvP is about as useful as making a solo Hell's Precipice build with no skills, no armor, and no weapons. Well, maybe it's not that useless but you get the idea.

*You need an elite

*You don't meet the req. of your shield

*Warriors are best for damage unless your specifically stance tanking

*Just to let you know, or if you already do then I'll say it for everyone else - Sundering Sucks!

I'm assuming/hoping that is some kind of typo, you may want to fix it so we have a clue what you are doing?

13 sword?
14 tactics?
4 strength?

Quote:
roposte
sever artery
gnash
VERY conditional damage. Riposte is only good against melee attackers, has no affect on ranged or casters. Sever doesn't affect a lot of critters and then gash is also worthless. Just bring 3 attack skills, including an elite?

Quote:
defensive stance
"shields up"
A stance that ends if you use a skill and has a 45 second recharge. We're not sure how long it lasts since your attributes are screwy. Shields up is decent, perhaps you should use that + Watch Yourself? (Assuming you have points in tactics?)

Endure Pain = with low strength I wouldn't bother. Low benefit for short time.
Healing Signet = good, depending on tactics setting.
Rebirth = ok

Skip the sundering hilt. I use 3 weapons as appropriate: vampiric, zealous, elemental.

I want one of those! Armor +5!!! I assume you mean -5 damage/20% chance? Assuming you really have points in tactics then this is OK, but if you don't meet the requirement then you get 1/2 armor.

I suggest reading this thread.

+1 Str helms are useless in all but a few rare farming situations.

I beg to differ, they reach +7 for IWAY and 10s for Tiger Stance. You may prefer to use 16 weapon (i probably would too) but i have a +1 Strength and they do have benefits.

It makes the most sense to have the +1 on your helm boosting your highest atribute. Are you telling me that outside of certain farming builds, you have more str than weapon mastery?
